because it's easy money for them, po!
they'll charge you 1.5 K for it, when it really costs only 700 bucks.

errr... how much does a new rotor cost, po?

Kung malaki & makapal pa and may grooves na yung rotor bro it makes sense to have it refaced. Mahal kasi, sa PPVs around 10K up ang oem. Sa maliliit it makes more sense to replace, halos same na kasi ng cost ng reface yung replacement.

I am not also fond of refacing as this is just a remedy & a "patch-up" job. Changing your warped &/or thinned-out rotors discs with a brandnew one (OEM, OEM-equiv or upgrade) and brandnew brake pads is the way to go...
Several years ago, tsikoteers complained of premature warping of of runstop discs on their rides esp the old fortuners. Not sure if quality has improved lately

using it for almost a year now, OK naman. pero extra careful ako since di sya OEM. and by extra careful, i mean i make sure di sya mainit bago mag car wash, check regularly for debris etc. planning to reinstall my oem rotors back (makapal pa naman) after a year or when i bleed my brakes again, then post observation.
