August 18th, 2014 11:49 PM #32Kung OK sa yo hole in the wall repair shops na Oks at mura gumawa at recommended and tested na rin ng ilang mga tao rito, recommend ko si Toto, aka Toto Power Steering Sepcialist.
His shop is located on BMA avenue, near E. Rodriguez and Banawe. His number is 4120431, ask for specific directions to get there. Bring your car and he'll tell you anong kelangan gawin at magkano.
Mahal talaga sa casa. Yung CRV ko quote last year sa overhaul ng gear box eh 20k piyesa pa lang. Wala pang labor yan. Kung replace ng gear box, 80k yata, IIRC. In the end, pinatira ko kay Toto. Total damage: 3,000 + 300 wheel alignment. Ayos.

September 29th, 2014 01:46 AM #35I'm sorry to hijack this thread. I just badly need some inputs regarding the power steering problem/s of my Honda CRV 2003.
It's been leaking for months na. I had it checked kay Toto sa Banawe last friday since he's highly recommended by the members here. Having said that, he said he needed to replace my hose and the PS kit kasi may leak na din daw pinion ko. After that, ok naan sya until saturday night when we traveled to Nueva Ecija. Sobrang tumigas na as in parang di na sya PS. Being a girl, hindi ko na sya mahandle so I immediately called someone to drive it for me. When we arrived sa province, we immediately checked what was wrong.
Since medyo secluded yung place, wala talaga kaming kilala na gumagawa. Kinabukasan medyo lumambot sya pero we checked it pa din. Wala ng laman yung reservoir. I don't know what happened kasi we left the engine off naman the whole night. Natatakot akong magdrive.
Any inputs kung ano pwede ko gawin temporarily(kung meron man) to fix it and maiuwi ko sa Manila para macheck ng mechanic? This never happened naman kahit nung may leak palang.

September 29th, 2014 03:25 AM #36Ano ginamit niyo fluid after the rebuild.

September 29th, 2014 11:35 AM #38*ecstaticx: unless you can fix the source of the leak, then fluid will just leak out again. i suggest you call a towing company to bring your car to the nearest reliable auto shop or straight to Manila, whichever you prefer.
yung reservoir lang ba ang basa? how about other parts?
Reservoir (Leaking from around cap)
> Reservoir is overfilled. Pull off hose and drain to proper level.
> Air leak in suction side of the system (reservoir, pump inlet hose, front pump seal).

September 29th, 2014 03:30 PM #40*red_one Buong reservoir po basa eh.
We found a medyo reliable mechanic in the area. He checked it and he said na may nagleleak din daw sa pump and piston. Baka daw sira yung piston ng pump which I never heard. I don't know if I should trust the man but he has good feedbacks from the neighborhood naman.
Mine today while I was driving for work temp icon went on red. Cranked aircon fan and set to heater...
