    Pasama na lang kayong dalawa kay ferdie sa blumentritt. May mga alam siyang bilihan ng parts(suki) doon.

    I visited ferdie this morning before going to blumentritt.

    Sabi nga niya you were able to find 12th na gearbox with pitman arm.

    Ang hirap maghanap doon. Siguro mahigit 20 stores natanungan ko puro wala. Pero I found out later na yun mga nagbebenta ng gearbox doon parang underground pala. ayaw pakita sa amin yun gearbox. Basta raw meron. Kung isasama ko raw yun mechanico tsaka daw nila ilalabas

    I found one mga 9,500 daw yun gearbox with pitman arm and another 500 for the crossjoint. I plan to bring ferdie along to make sure na tama yun parts. Takot kasi ako baka defective yun gearbox na ibigay sa akin.

    Also, I am not sure of what a orig left hand drive gearbox with pitman arm looks like. Meron nga isa store doon benta lang 3500 kaya pala right hand orig gearbox from japan.

    Sir Afrasay, is it safe to say na di na sya converted after changing the gearbox, pitman arm, and crossjoints. Also is there a way to know how to look at the gearbox to see if it is really in good working condition?

    Medyo kinabahan nga ako sa sinabi ni ferdie and afrasay about the welded pitman arm. Ferdie showed it to me and talaga pre delicado. Baka kasi may internal cracks yan sa loob.

    Also if hindi nya ginamit yun propoer welding rod for that metal baka bumigay nga sa provincial trips or offroading.

    lancelot:::sama mo na lang siya. I'm going there tomorrow to pick up "something" :wink: Siguro 9am nandoon ako. Yon nakita namin gearbox for korean pajero "galoper" w/c is original LHD. Matatandaan niya yon.

    lancelot, sori pre di ako makapunta dahil sa trabaho. Itong trabaho talaga nakakasira sa pagaasikaso ko sa paje. Anyway, alaws pa rin ako budget siguro mga two months pa to be able to save enough for the project. Tuloy mo lang pagawa. I'm really interested in seeing how it turns out. I could show you my steering setup and we could compare them.

    I went to blumentrit and found the parts needed for the project.

    Papasama na lang ako kay ferdie para sure na tama all parts.

    Plano ko bilin tuesday. Hope this project works...

    Sana lumambot para wala na yun mga hard turns during parking.

    lancelot, kamusta na yung steering project mo? Mukhang kailangan ko na rin magpaayos ulit dahil tumagas na naman dun sa pinakatuktok lang. Pero malakas ang tagas. Parang may pihitan sa taas ng flat screwdriver tapos may nut na malaki. Dun nagli-leak. two weeks pa lang. Papatingnan ko ulit kay Ferdie itong sabado. Napalitan mo na ba lahat?

    lancelot, pajero freak.. hope successful yung change nyo ng gearbox.. can i have some comments if okay talaga kasi converted din yung sa akin and medyo short nga ako sa mga hard turns and parking.... and how much yung total cost...

    Marwen, kung sa turning radius I think di magbabago dahil wala sa gearbox yun (not sure on this we'll need other comments). Pinalitan ko yung gearbox ng Toyota pa rin (mahal kasi yung Mitsubishi). Gumastos ako 3800 for the gearbox (surplus) and 1,800 for the labor. Sabi sa akin mga 20,000 aabutin if you want to change to all-Mitsubishi. Iyon ang da best dahil magiging normal na Pajero na yan. Pera lang talaga problema nating lahat.
