that problem most of the time is due to dynamic imbalance....take note that you put more resisting force in the steering system in the form of bigger tires.

February 15th, 2012 11:15 AM #6guys wala daw sa system nila ang car ko, tumawag ako sa casa and nirefer ako sa wings west. inalign nila yun wheels sa front kasi naka -30deg sa right at +30deg sa left. ang limit is 15deg lang +/-. But then sabi ng technician its due to my tires daw, lalo na ang brand westlake. madaling sumunod sa shape ng road eh kya kumakabig ang manibela. hindi naman brake yun kasi di bnaman kumakabig pagbinabrake. try ko daw i-rotate yung rear left to front left. kaso di ko muna tnry pina-balance ko muna, nirefer ako sa minerva sa westgate. Hi-speed balancing daw ang service nila. then pinacorrect ko and overall check ng condition ng tires and wheels. good naman daw. then test drive nun pauwi ako. *120kph nagbavibrate yung steering wheel pero napakahina na. before sa 100kph+ vibrate na siya parang cellphone. pero after nun alignment may slightly pull pa din sa left side. at pansin ko bumigat ang steering wheel ko, mabigat as in pihitin. help naman ano pa marerecommend niyo.
salamat

February 26th, 2012 04:16 AM #9Argh, I'm also 18s on low profile Westlakes! And my steering wheel also vibrates at high speeds. If the wheel balancing didn't work, how about changing your tires to a better brand? And then tell me if the wiggle disappeared so I can change mine as well hehe.
Good luck dude and give us feedback if you were able to solve the problem so I'll know what to do with mine...
