    exactly, po!

    brake boosters are very long-lived,
and 2.0 variants may be the minority.
why spend good money, stocking up on parts that only a few are expected to look for?
"i wouldn't stock up on parts that will be probably be purchased one piece every five years or so."
"i'd just call the central warehouse, order one, and ask the costumer to wait a month for the part to arrive."

    when i buy a car,
my question is, "how common is it?", and not "how rare is it?"
yes, taxi car models are fine with me.
    heh heh.

Na check ba ng mechanic yung vacuum using a gauge? Para lang ma rule out talaga.. baka kasi mahina ang vacuum kaya matigas at may hiss
    little side kwento.

2 years ago nasira din ang brake hydrovac nung 2011 Navara ng father ko. wala pa naman overt sign like partial brake loss or spongy pedal other than the hissing sound of air kapag di mo tinatapakan ang brake pedal. once tinapakan ang pedal dun nawawala ang sound. i don't know the exact mechanics of the symptoms pero by logic parang baliktad. anyway ayaw ako pabilihin ng brand new brake booster made in thailand nung mekaniko. he insisted on japan surplus galing ata patrol or urvan. mas tumatagal daw. i did go surplus (around 4k pesos) binigyan naman ako ng warranty ng shop. may konti lang modification dun sa fork attachment ng booster otherwise straight forward replacement. working good pa naman until now.

    so i am wondering,
can the more common brake booster be modified in some minor weigh, so as to fit the mounting area designed for a 2.0 ?

    i am also wondering,
"why did the manufacturer design two different designs, if the two will be doing the exactsame function in the first place?"
or is there a somewhat different functional difference between the two?

I had a brake booster issue before, it was just the hose. It would take 30 or so minutes to manifest itself

without seeing doc it is hard to make certain. in our navaras case very simply we just extended the fork/shaft to be able to reach the attachment point on the pedal. internally we did not touch anything with the diaphragm, vacuum or the booster itself.

The 2.0 is a heavier vehicle, it may need more oomph for its brakes.

Looks like I've finally licked the car's brake problem, idle drop, and wonky gear shifting In 1 fell stroke. Matigas ang Brake Pedal

That's a bad case of corrosion. does the brake vacuum get exposed to moisture often?
