dear fellow tsikoteers,
just had my dad's 2002 auv cr-v's aircon repaired at hondashaw. first ever repairs after 88000+ km's of use. left the unit last saturday and got it lunch time today (when i arrived to pick up the unit, they made me wait plus 2 hours pa this afternoon just to fix an erroeous service invoice, dumoble ung isang part :| anyway. . .)
done:
replace aircon fan motor, plus repairs they found necessary: reseal oil pan and and some power steering repairs. cost almost Php17,000 including oil change.
not done as per my instruction; for repair soon:
need to overhaul na daw power steering gearbox, has (minor) leak. ito binigay na options nung service advisor:
option 1) Php9,500 - ipapadala sa planta ung p/s gbox for remanufacuring. 1-2 weeks downtime
option 2) Php39,500 for a new p/s gearbox assembly. 3-4 days downtime
hingi sana ako ng advice mga sir/madam on where i can have these done at a better price (and shorter downtime sana). kaya ba ng autotechnika? medyo malapit na rin kasi ung bgc branch, taga better living paranaque kasi kami.
ang mahal...

sir speedyfix, power steering gearbox po daw e. i'm not an expert on this, but i think it's one of the mechanical parts, separate pa from the pump. power steering fluid daw ang may slight leak. gumagawa po ba kayo nito?
