Im just wondering because there are tires for sale for example 70% left thread, does this mean you can still use it 70% of its orig life or there is a limit wherein you have to replace it already because of its wear like 30% or 40%. Also does the thread wear out faster as the thread gets lesser and lesser?

The percentages presented by sellers is just a rough estimate. Totally unreliable if you ask me. But 70% is supposed to imply that 30% of the tread is already used up.

yup, best bet is to see the tires for yourself. look in the inside kung marami ang tapal. also check kung even ang wear ng tires or kung may bald spots.

alam ko may lifespan ang mga tires.
baka medyo brittle na ang mabili mo, they tend to crack or explode.
    ingat na lang.

70% pa yun pwede mo i use... just check where you ae buying these tires. coz sometimes some shops "edit" the grooves to make it thicker. Also check if there are "major" cuts on the tires esp on the sidewalls, coz sometimes yan ang problem nyan. It swells when air is pumped in na...

They use 70% to gauge how much of ther thread is left mroe or less (but this is not an precise measurement)... what you cant tell is how old the tires are and if they are not liable to any damages (bukol, etc). If you buy used, try to get from a direct seller who may be selling his tires because he upgraded his tires/rims as there is more possibilty that he's selling them not because they're damaged or has outlived its usefulness (the rubber also deteriorates through the years).

As much as possible, try to avoid used tires if your gonna use it on a regular basis and not as a spare tire... most especially if you drive out on the highway a lot. The few thousands you save just cant be matched up with the life and property damages that can be factored in.
