17s are okay for urban use, but if you drive long distances in the provinces, it's not advisable.
My cousin has 17's, and he accidentally cracked one on a cat's eye on EDSA (he had 3 people in the back). Me, I've bent a 16" on a deep pothole, going 100 km/h, carrying 200 kilos of water in the back. I also bent an OEM 16" on EDSA. We've also bent 15's on various potholes before.
No matter what make of wheel it is, whether OEM or aftermarket, if the tire is thin enough or deflated, you will bend it if you hit something. Just be careful.

my current tires are 185/60 r13. i'm planning to replace them with 185/65 r14, ok lang ba?

ay may napili ako dyan 15" Jspl or Grid ung gusto ko kasi ung P45F 18" lang available sayang, hehehe....

Basta tama yung offset ng mags, di siya sasabit. Karamihan ng compact class na 90's na Japanese na tsikot, kayang mag 195/55-15.

sir according to computation mas malaki po pala ang itataas kung 185/65/r14 ang gagamitin ko kaysa 195/55/r15.
the total height/diameter would be:
185/60/r13 = 552mm / 21.7" (stock size)
185/65/r14 = 596mm / 23.5"
195/55/r15 = 595mm / 23.4"
but since negligible naman yun difference gamitin ko na yun r15 para makatulong sa anti-rolling...
