does anyone here have an idea regarding federal tires, especially the 205 70 r15 model? this tire was recommended by a friend for my starex. it is 6 plys with a H speed rating, temperature A, treadwear A or 350. do you thinkthis is a good tire for vans? federal tires are common in the usa but this one's already made in taiwan, so price is quite cheap.

Haven't had good experiences with Federal, but admittedly, I haven't tried that particular type of tire.

What's your price range? There are a lot of good cheap tires out there.

was planning to get dunlop ec 201 tires but my friend told me to take a look at the federal tire. madalas daw ito gamit mga passenger vans to baguio from pangasinan. wala naman daw problema, ok naman grip sa zigzags. it's around php 2100 only per tire. made me have second thoughts, so i'm asking for comments or suggestions.

Ok. My problem with it was tire wear that wasn't justified by the grip, and poor high speed performance. But van tires are another thing. As long as that type of tire uses a different rubber compound from their sports tires, it should be okay. Di naman high wear usually ang van tires, because they use a much harder rubber compound. Let's wait on what other van drivers have to say.

Use Ecovans Federal Tires. These are really made for vans. If you have any problems, go to their head office. You'll find it easily. Beside Classmate KTV in Quezon Ave.

    Pekeng gulong kumakalat
(Pilipino Star Ngayon) Updated October 22, 2009 12:00 AM

(Butch Quejada)

    Ingat, mga bro.
