redhorse, curious lang. saan ka nagpapalagay ng nitrogen? i heard nga na its better than ordinary compressed air...and how much it costs?

isa pa....is it safe to put in nitrogen sa tires maski naka tubeless?

its better pag once a week. 30 psi ang karga ko ng hangin, pag umabot na ng 28psi, karga ulit.

I learned that tire pressure is driver dependent. There is really no ideal pressure, but most would put their pressures between 28-35 psi. If you want better handling, increase the pressure. For better traction, decrease the pressure I also check the pressures once a week

I dont think there is any benefit in using nitrogen vs. compressed air. Nitrogen, like all gases, follows the ideal gas law (which states that temperature and pressure are directly proportional). So, if nitrogen gets hot, it will expand! Since it has about the same specific heat as oxygen, it will get as hot!

Air is about 80% nitrogen in any case.

Filling your tires (and finding a place to fill it up at) with nitrogen is also a bit inconvenient, IMO.

I say, stick with compressed air.

    tiger,

tubeless lahat ng tires ko. costs -- about P100 per tire. But someone told me, the tank itself costs less than P200 and can fill up 4 tires. Kaya lang, wala naman akong kakilalang aircon shop, and to buy those hoses, medyo di yata economical, since I only fill it up once a year.

    e46,

it is inconvenient talaga, isa lang kasi ang shop na alam ko. Pero, me and my neighbor, been doing it three years and never have had a tire pressure loss on the road. Actually, to convince myself I put a test and control unit, both are spares (not used even once for the entire year) one is filled with nitro, the other, compressed air. The former read 40 the latter nasa 20 na lang, both were initially filled at 45.

But then again, this does not translate, na hindi i-check ang tire pressure at least once a week, including spare tire.

    peace.
