Buzzing Power Steering

the leak is comming from the steering shaft and not from the rack itself imo. alam ko may repair kit yung toyota for that

well... nung una ganun ang sinasabi ng SA. kasi may isang case rin sila na ganun sa rav4 - eh pumatol ang may ari na palit ang power steering assembly and rack & pinion set.

yung foreman naman, sinabi na ipasok for evaluation kasi mahirap daw tingnan na nasa parking lot lang kotse.

pero nung bandang huli, sabi ng SA na pwede ko daw i-sugal na i-repair kit lang yung power steering (after niyang malaman na hindi company owned yung sasakyan).

bumili na lang muna ako ng isang litro ng Petron ATF (since yun rin ang ginagamit sa Toyota, hehe). then observe muna sa tulo.

ganyan rin nangyari sa dati kong ride, had the hose changed twice.. the first time maliit nga yung diameter kaya daw may humming sound
the second time tahimik na though may konteng leak pa rin sa ps fluid.

so i bought lots of ATF fluid nalang (pwede daw to dba? well yan sabi ng mekaniko ko e)
150 isang boteng malaki.. more than a month.
in the long run its still cheaper than replacing the whole assembly :P

Mga boss, same problem with my power steering, first, it had a leak, i can actually touch the bottom part of the power steering pump and feel the liquid leaking in one of the bolts pero very slow lang yung leak. had it repaired sa CASA they replaced new hoses and O-rings and tubes, so far ok na. wala ng leak.problem is, may tumutunog nanaman when turning the wheel left or right on slow speeds when parking and this only happens if you have already driven the car 30 to 40 minutes already bago tutunog yung steering. wierd. pina tignan ko sa cruven, (napadaan lang ako) binaklas yung front wheels, linagyan ng grasa yung joints ata, not sure whats its called, right now, im still observing it pa..

bring it back to casa. maybe they need to reopen the ps pump or replace the fluid.

na rerepair po ang power steering, may mga power steering repair kits na mabibili sa mga auto supply.. just need to replace yung mga gasket, oil seals etc.. but still kahit na repair na at wala na tulo possible pa din may madinig na mga ingay ingay.. syempre.. luma na din yung parts eh.. so given factor na yun... importante eh walang leaks, pag may leak kasi their is tendency na magka hangin yung power steering system causing the power steering fluid to FOAM.. pag nag foam yung fluid hihina power steering mo then may mga ingay na lalabas gaya ng humming..
