Actually that NiBK has a number of problems, 1st they are an imitation brand of Nisshinbo Japan, they used Nisshibo's mark on genuine car maker brake pads NBK and put a small letter "i" in it para maging NiBK.

- YouTube.

- YouTube.

NIBK - YouTube.

Also if overhyped yung Akebono brakes then bakit 50% ng Japanese bullet trains in Japan(Shinkansens) ay gumagamit ng Akebono brakes? If you compare it with NiBK napaka out of range. Parang cinompare mo yung Apple or Samsung phone sa Cherry Mobile phone.

If your saying na Akebono price is high then how come it is more affordable than Brembo, considering Akebono is Made in Japan unlike the very cheap NiBK or the more expensive Brembo.

Just for your information NiBK is just a made up brand with full intention of copying the branding and logo of Nisshinbo Brakes in Japan then the items are just being outsourced in Taiwan.

I never saw any car manufacturer, nor even motorcycle manufacturer that has installed NiBK(An imitation of Nisshinbo) brand of brake pads as original factory brake pads motorcycles, cars or not even bicycles.

IMO regular use like daily drive normal traffic, prang ka-level ng Thailand friction material at a reasonable price.

I'll try my best on researching & providing more information about the best parts for our cars and mga situations regarding bad brands and imitations in the market.

I'll keep everybody posted, I appreciate that some people value my advice and some debate on it para mas maging educational itong forums natin when it comes to having the best piyezas for our cars.

Nakita ko sa isang online shop named Mr. Tata Automotive sa Lazada na they were offering a Japanese O.E. brand that is more affordable while providing the best performance and quality. The brand name is Nisshinbo, they are apparently one of the biggest brake suppliers in the world. Their factories are actually the ones supplying Brembo yung original factory assembled brake pads para sa calipers ni Brembo.

Usual price range niya nasa 1k and up lang as per nakikita ko now. Still waiting for the video of United Car Clubs of the Philippines about sa review niya about this brand.

Yes si Seiwa Automotive also carries Akebono brakes sa shop nila. Ang natanong ko is for Montero Sport 2nd gen brake pads na Akebono.

Nagchange yung kakilala ko after niya mapansin parang nagfafade na brakes niya na NiBK nung chineck niya nagulat siya bakit ganun nangyari sa friction materials ng NiBK baka madisgrasya daw siya then he after nireplace niya ng Akebono sa Hiace niya wala ng problem so far hindi na nagbitak bitak yung friction surface ng brake pads hindi tulad ng NiBK. Yung friend ko na nagdridrive ng Chevrolet Colorado from Gensan to Bukidnon na heavily loaded parati pickup niya umabot ng 50,000 km nagagamit parin niya yung Akebono considering Bukidnon driving condition is similar with Baguio highly elevated roads.

Yung sinasabi mong Thailand friction material at reasonable price, ang question ko sayo bakit ang mga Thailand, Indonesia & etc... made cars never installed with Thai replacement brake pads or even sabihin natin NiBK brake pads. Since diba Thailand driving conditions and the Philippines are similar?
Why up to now only Akebono, Nisshinbo & etc... brands lang ang pasado sa car manufacturers since hindi naman tayo same driving conditions with USA right? Bakit hindi nalang bumili sila Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Honda, Mazda, Suzuki, Daihatsu Ford, Chevrolet & etc... bumili ng mga mumurahin na brake brands from Thailand and etc... since hindi naman tayo kasing severe ng USA right? So why are the car manufacturers still asking Akebono, Nisshinbo & other O.E. brake manufacturers to supply them even sa plants nila Toyota & etc... sa Thailand or Indonesia.

You do know even Korean car manufacturers are even buying from Nisshinbo's Korean brake plant.

Even Chinese car manufacturers such as Geely and Morris Garage buys from Nisshinbo and other reputable O.E. brake manufacturers. So why don't they use cheaper alternatives from Thailand, China and etc...? Have you ever wondered? Makakatulong yung sa profitability nila Toyota, Nissan & etc... kasi masmura nila makukuha yung brake pads and etc... right?

The problem is yung binanggit mo like NiBK & etc... hindi pasado sa minimum standards ng car manufacturers number 1 for safety reasons, 2nd performance, 3rd durability & etc...

Appreciate much the efforts & input, good sir![emoji120] When my local searches lead to dead-ends, I usually look elsewhere, online, overseas for good, relatively reasonable deals. Brakes aren't something I'd risk scrimping on, nor would go overkill w/.

This Nisshinbo brake brand has currently 3 imitation brands in the Philippines.

    Imitation of Nisshinbo brakes:

    1. Nesinbo (Incorrect spelling of Nisshinbo)

    2. Nisshimbo (Nisshinbo with a letter m)

    3. NiBK (They added an i in the middle of Nisshinbo's trademark markings on original car maker brake pads which is NBK)
