Good day tsikoteers! I’m about to replace the factory specs tires in my Santa Fe, Kumho 235/65r17. My typical driving routes are:
40% city (includes potholed streets of Tondo, A.Boni)
    40% highway (NLEX)
20% provincial road (includes farm, dirt, mud, gravel, river rocks)

Ano maisa-suggest nyo na brand and tire shops? Thanks in advance!

Tawag ka bridgestone or yokohama and check if they have sizes similar to your existing.

Take note, just as important yung size is the load and speed rating ng tire. Normally, combination of number/letters ito. "92V"

I called a couple of Yokohoma dealers in Metro Manila; Geolander G055 costs around P8.5k - P9k each. And the size I wanted is not readily available, special order will take about 3 days pa.

I will try calling Bridgestone & Michelin next. Thank you mda & dreamur!

Hi Doc, I've never heard of Champiro brand. I would try that for my owner-type jeep, but probably not for my daily workhorse. In fact, I'm currently using Westlake for my OTJ. Never had problems with it driving around town. But I must confess, I wouldn't drive it on the freeway. Not because of the tire, but because of some suspension issues that prevents it from running straight

Meanwhile, a tire dealer has offered either Federal or Accelera tires for P1.5k cheaper than Yokos. Anyone has experience with those brands?
