which of these would you prefer? size I will choose is 215/45/R17 (since konti lang nag offer ng 205/50/R17)

I will only be buying a pair, then replace the other tires as well when the other two needs replacing as well.
Mahal pareho yung S.Drive and Ventus. The S.Drive would cost you almost double what an Ecsta SPT would cost you.

I have Ecstas on our Altis. 205/55 R16 costs 4.1k a piece. For your car, siguro mga 5k. An equivalent S.Drive would probably cost around 9k.

no experience with them but both will do just fine. Just stay away from SS595 as they are very very noisy (my brother uses a set)

    Hi all,

Magpapalit na kami ng tires on our FD Civic - 205/55/R16 91V

    OEMs are Bridgestone Turanza ER30s.

What I didn't like about these was that they made quite harsh and noisy.

What are good budget tires for replacement?

    The initial shortlist

    Bridgestone Turanza ER30 - P7200
    - quiet on asphalt, noisy on cement, harsh ride

    Yokohama A. Drive - P5300
    - quiet on asphalt, (not as) noisy on cement, ride is less harsh

Kumho Ecsta KU31 - WHERE AND HOW MUCH?

    - how are these tires?
    - **reviews seem to indicate that this is quite a good tire. Value for money, good grip, but wears a bit fast and gets much noisier when wearing out. Not a lot of info about comfort though.
    - I'm interested in these

Kumho Solus KH17 - WHERE AND HOW MUCH?
    - how are these tires?
    - **reviews seem to pan these tires.

    Dunlop 703 - P4800
    - don't think I want these, bumubukol and bad grip. But I'm just writing it down here.

Any other tires I should be considering? Want something comfortable, quiet with reasonable grip. Hindi naman kami nangangarera sa daan haha.

Also, I don't think I'd like to consider chinese brands at the moment. Want something at least at par with OEM quality.

i'm good with my yoko a.drive. as you said nga and i can confirm, quiet on asphalt and not so noisy on cement. sa umpisa parang medyo maingay, pero siguro nasanay lang ako sa yoko stock tires. ngayon okay na. parati lang dami nakasingit na mga bato sa tire tread.

Yup tama, (pati yung bato sa tire tread) actually yun yung stock tires namin sa '09 Civic namin. So far It feels better than the Bridgestone ER30s on the '06. Just checking if there are other tires that may be better value for the money.

So far, parang okay yung Kumho Ecsta KU31. Just looking for a dealer and other people's feedback. Halos 500PHP cheaper per tire e. (Just got off the phone with a shop that carries them)

So how fast has your tread worn sir?

Our Civic's OEM Turanza ER30 has already worn out (less than 2mm left) with more or less 37K KMs.

Goodyear Assurance Armorgrip is quite a good all around tire. It's grippier, more comfortable and quiet than Goodyear Duraplus though it wears out faster.

Hankook Optimo K415 is a nice tire as well. Not as quiet as the K715 but has better grip.

Try to look around and get some quotations for Bridgestone Turanza GR90 as well.
