Finally, a significant power upgrade after 25 years! 1996 pa ata stuck sa 280hp yung WRX STI with the GC8D. Kawawa lang yung bumili ng S209 and Type RA, $60k spent and one year later laos agad kotse nila.

Pwede ng pag-ipunan. hehe
I think it's too much though, don't you think?
Besides, they are the only Jap car manufacturer offering 300 hp pocket rockets nowadays.
Supras and GT-Rs don't count as they are 2-door sports oriented cars and they cost minimum more than 2.5x.

February 29th, 2020 08:43 PM #5For today I think 400hp is good for a modern STI (or Evo). Maybe a bit more power than needed (honestly would be happy with 360hp), but going a whole +100 horses is a nice gesture after having been stuck at 300 for so long.
Also about the same hp and hp/li as the current-gen RS3.Last edited by Dr.Kamiya; February 29th, 2020 at 09:29 PM.

I would appreciate a 400hp Forester or Outback. The WRX STi is just too stiff for a daily driver. Hehehe

Bakit naman? The Merc A45 AMG 4-Matic has a 2.0L turbo rated at 415hp/500Nm. Small hatchback pa yan ha.
I have driven the Kia Stinger GT sedan with a 3.3L V6 turbo rated at 365hp/510Nm and it is a sure fun car to drive. RWD pa yun ha. It will be a lot more fun to put that much power and torque on a smaller car.
