January 10th, 2018 09:22 AM #901Thanks for the responses, guys! Now I know I'm not doing something wrong.
Also good to know that it is better to put the gear in N, instead of P, while waiting at intersections. Thanks!

January 10th, 2018 09:28 AM #902Questions about the Hill Start Assist -
How does it differ from just engaging the Electronic Parking Brake?
For example, while waiting on parking ramps, is it better to use the Hill Start Assist or engage the Electronic Parking Brake? Will they have the same effect? Both will disengage whenever the accelerator is pressed, right?
Thanks again.

January 10th, 2018 09:32 AM #903Some drivers prefer automatic transmission because of this. Why the need for these features? They have other purpose.

January 10th, 2018 10:27 AM #905But the E-brake can be used in place of the Hill Start Assist dba?
The difference I can see is you can always set the hill start assist to "on" and it will automatically hold/assist the vehicle every time you're in an incline/angle.
While for the E-brake, you need to press it every single time huminto ka para mag hold. Tama?
Bakit kaya wala yun auto hold feature ng E-brake sa XV...

January 10th, 2018 12:48 PM #908I use the parking brake when parked or on a red traffic light and place the shift stick to “N”. I use the “P” when parked with engine off.
On a stop-and-go situation on a uphill road, I just use the brake to stop and the gas pedal to move forward. In an automatic transmission, transferring your foot from brake to gas pedal when you are about to move forward will hold your car and prevent the car from moving backward. In this case, why the need to use the parking brake.
