December 8th, 2017 10:26 AM #781Ang pagkaalala ko (hindi ko na masyado matandaan kasi disappointing yung HU na yun, hehe), same size sila ng stock Starlink HU.
Global design naman talaga ang Starlink HU ng XV. Yun ang stock na HU tapos may choice ka (at least for now) na ipapalit to Panasonic HU during 1st PMS for free.

Eto ang deal breaker eh. Even the 6.5 Starlink on the base model (which does not even support the Starlink app) has Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
So far no complaints naman sa Starlink. Once lang sya naghang sa Android Auto dahil nag-auto on ang app on Bluetooth then sabay saksak USB kaya nalito sya. Needs more bass though but that can be rectified with a sub.

Talked to my SA this afternoon about eyesight, I was informed that the eyesight device will not be installed in newly purchased XV units. They will introduce another high end XV unit by early next year that have the eyesight around February 2018.
I am thinking of postponing my reservation/purchase until they launch the new XV with eyesight and decide if the price is still worth it.

December 9th, 2017 12:12 AM #786Oh what the heck! I don't want to regret buying my car now. I hope the difference in price between now and the price when the dreaded excise tax hits us justifies my purchase though.
When you say "Eyesight won't be installed in newly purchased units", are you referring to new units that have been bought now? Or the same variant units that will be bought when a new higher end variant comes out in Feb 2018?
Did you ask him any info regarding the option of having Eyesight installed on units that are out in the streets now?

What I'm hearing is that there will be THREE variants in 2018:
- XV 2.0i
- XV 2.0i-S
- XV 2.0i-S EyeSight
Those that are going to play the waiting game may want to pray and offer eggs that the Senate's excise tax version gets the nod as opposed to the House version. The prices will actually end up being lower than what they are now, at least for the first 2 variants above.

Yes, I was referring to the units purchased before the launch of eyesight. I also asked him if they can install the eyesight to existing 2.0i-S CVT units and was informed that its going to be impossible for them to install it since there will be a lot of electrical wirings and other stuffs to be added. I short, it's beyond their capability to add the eyesight to existing XV units. Maybe you can have it installed by a 3rd party but that will void your warranty.
I'm just gonna hope that the senate version of the excise tax gets passed.
