Still deciding if base Forester, base CX-5, totl XV, CR-V gas.

I saw one totl sa EDSA, color orange, sobrang angas!

Other considerations were the Tucson and Sportage.
The base Forester is the practical choice among the list. Despite having the oldest platform, the Forester is what a utility vehicle should be. Big interior space, big cargo space, decent driving dynamics, great safety features, good visibility from the driver side, high ground clearance, and good enough for light off-road duties. It is also the cheapest among the list.

The XV will be the most nimble to drive but internal/cargo space is compromised. All choices will be consuming about the same amount of gas.

Thanks sa mga reply mga sir. Antay ako ng facelift ng HR-V and all-new Forester, baka easier to decide

For now ang top 2 ko is totl HR-V, CR-V gas and totl XV.

Also nakita ko sa Subaru PMS thread, mahal talaga cvtf, for Forester 15k yata. Not sure if may cheaper option without voiding the warranty.

Priority ko yung tech and safety features and ok yung handling. That's why I don't want an SUV with the likes of Montero, etc.

Just got my XV yesterday pero iniwan ko muna sa casa while naka process pa yung OR/CR.

Any experience on the keyless entry feature? Or baka mali lang yung ginagawa. Is it supposed to be a tap by your thumb or hold until it triggers?

Not sure if it is the same as the forester but I place my forefinger on top of the sensor.

Congrats bro! Dont you have a ready parking in your condo? I believe the policy to acquire parking is 1:1 but I was able to get 2 when that policy was not strictly enforced before. When the 3rd car arrived, I have to rent another slot. You can check with the PMO for available lease.

Yep, you have to cover the sensors until the doors lock, it does not take too long, but a quick tap won't do it either. And it does not have to be your thumb, any part of your body will do, as long as the sensors are covered. [emoji3] congrats! What color did you get?

I would think the mechanism is the same with the Forester but the placement of the sensor is not on the same spot. The 2018 XV has it placed in such a way where you can put your thumb on the sensor while gripping the door handle.

Thanks! I don't have any plans on getting two slots. My current car will be going back to the province as it's my Dad's anyway

I didn't have much time to test it out extensively yesterday before leaving it in the dealership but covering the sensor until it locks/unlocks the doors did not work for me. What worked was to give it a short tap (not a quick one). I did not get the chance to try the sensor on the passenger side door to see if it has the same behavior though. Do you have the 2018 XV too?

Thanks! I got the TOTL Dark Blue

The locking/unlocking isn't instantaneous but it's quick enough (around 2 or 3 seconds i think). Just remember that the placement of the sensors are different. To unlock, slide your fingers underneath the door handle (no need to have your thumb on the "striped sensor). To lock, cover the "striped" sensor with a thumb or a couple of fingers, whichever works for you.

There's also a button on the rear gate (to the right of the logo) that also locks/unlocks the doors if you have the key fob with you.

Ok, I have to test this out more when I get it.

Haha, I agree Hindi siya normal na Dark Blue.

Dapat ba macover nung thumb yung buong sensor dun sa door handle sa driver side maunlock?
