Are you guys not having any problems with Android Auto randomly disconnecting and not connecting back anymore, for some reason? This started after the latest Android OS update on my Galaxy S8. I have the latest version of Android Auto and it's not caused by the phone or USB cable I'm currently using it with Android Auto on a rental car here in the US currently and it's working flawlessly for a couple of days now. So I'm guessing the problem is with the stupid Starlink software on my XV.

Never tried the pre-collision (but maybe you wouldn't want to) but all the alerts work. I didn't get my front windshield tinted as the dealer mentioned they have buyers sign a waiver that it is not their responsibility if EyeSight doesn't work as well because of the tint. Researched in other markets as well and they never tinted their windshields if it has EyeSight. So I ended up just tinting everything around except the one front windshield.
Ako naman signed the waiver and got mine tinted with lightest tint for full windshield and sunroof, then mid tint all around.

    Logic ko:
    1. The tech is supposed to work even in mid-low visibility situations like rain, snow, dirty windshield, nightime etc. All camera tech ito, stereo cameras detect depth of field and no radars kaya "EYESIGHT" so tint will just be like adding a filter on the camera lens.
    2. Might even help the camera avoid glare when driving towards the sun.
    3. Waiver or not, Subaru/MI is not liable in any way. The eyesight manual has warnings about how you are not supposed to rely on the tech but should only be useful in the worst of situations -- then when getting the car, you sign a different waiver that this has been explained to you, tint or not.
    4. Using it mainly for the adaptive cruise control and will not driving distracted in any way. Pang rest lang ng paa.

I would not have gotten tint if Subaru/MI would withhold warranty claims on the eyesight parts etc -- but, the language on the waiver does not specify this so I was go go go.

Eto pa, as of now di ko pa natatangal yun logos ng solarguard but no issues. Lane detection and front vehicle detection works so I am happy, plus the car is cooler and less glare all around. Thinking long run lane detection I will turn off even, pang long drive lang incase ma drowsy-driver.

Would you suggest to get a good android phone to make the android auto works better? I’m using a 3G tablet and it’s very basic. I don’t know if this is the cause why the android auto most of the time is laggy and pixelized. I’m thinking to buy the latest nexus.

Anybody also noticed the strong noise from the car microphone when you are talking to somebody driving an XV (2018) with a phone connected (Bluetooth)? It sounds like the noise is coming from the aircon vent.

You mean the phone is also connected via USB while charging (or for other purpose)? I have to check that but wondering how a USB device will produce that noise (like a wind).

Definitely less body roll. Test drove Tucson, CX-5 and XV ---> bought an XV.

XV has less body roll and feels like less body flex. Parang patas lang sa suspension, yun pakiramdam "mas mababa lahat" or "mas malapit sa gulong" tapos yun kaha pinaka solid yun pakiramdam.
