I am new here! I read many threads about modification of Strada in this forum which is also my interest. I would like to share or learn about modifications. We just got our 2011 Strada 4x4 3.2 MT 6 months ago. We had installed GSR sports lid and all alpine sound setup with chromes accessories added. Now I am planning to replace the stock tire 245/70/17 with 265/70/17 size.

Sir "The Patriarch / G01", please advise if Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx 265/70/17 is best size for strada pickup. I already phoned up Ryco Makati and quoted me 12,805/tire. I have learned that ST Maxx is composite of 50% on-road and 50% off-road. We use our Strada mostly in highways.

Also I enquired at Auto Option on MT ATZ Radial Plus cost 13,300/tire but not very much like the sidewall design. I would prefer the MT ATZ Tranditional model which has a sidebitter.

I am interested also to join the TSCP but since I am OFW working here in Kuwait I can't attend the EB schedule to formally join the club. Hoping

I would highly appreciate your advise.

    Thanks,
    Strada3200
    Good day, sir!

I believe 265/70r17 should fit the stock 17x7.5 (mininum required rim width is 7; max is 8.5) wheel easily with no rubbing sa inner fender well and mud guard. I've read that some have upgraded to 265/75r16 M/T tires on 16x8 wheels with no rubbing. Parehong 32" ang 265/70r17 at 265/75r16. Mud terrain pa nga gamit ng iba. You might want to consider Cooper Discoverer AT3 kung mostly highway ang application. Pero baka mabitin ka sa looks. Mas maangas talaga ang ST Maxx.

I am newly registered in this forum. What size is your ST Maxx? I'd like to buy also ST Maxx 265/70/17 to replace my Strada3200 stock tire 245/65/17. I'm on leave for 3 weeks this coming March 30, 2012 and hope I could modify my tire with ST maxx. I'd like to seek your advise if the ST Maxx 265/70/17 would fit my strada3200 stock mags 17x7.5JJ.

    Many thanks,

    sir strad3200,

i'm using a 265/75/16 (32") ST Maxx which is equivalent to your intended 265/70/17 tire. i think the strada and montero shares the same stock tires which is 265/65/17 (31"), hence you are plus sizing an inch over the stock tires. on my ride, there is a slight rub at 3/4 turn where the front tires hit the lower back side of the front corner chin. my rim is 16x8 so the 265mm tire width sits perfectly well.

my brother's dmax is using 265/75/16 ST Maxx on a stock 16x7 rims before. the tires looked like a donut.

now, he's using a 16x8 rim with zero offset, the tires looked better and sticked out of the fender.

Posting pics of my truck with the Carryboy canopy. Had the roll bar removed and the canopy installed July of this year.

I removed the sliding glass of the canopy so that I can fully utilize the use of the power rear window of my truck.

Then filled the gap between the canopy and the cabin with rubber stripping and sealed the joints with black silicon rubber.
