December 26th, 2010 01:45 AM #321Help naman mga BRO.
When I first drove my Strada as stock, bumilib ako. Hinataw ko sa NLEX ng 170km/hr for 3 minutes at alam kung meron pang ibubuga dahil di pa sagad ang accelerator niya. Sa manibela wala ka man lang mararamdamang vibrations. Now when I changed my mags and tires with a 265/70R17 parang bumagal ang arangkada which is understandable and nagkaroon ng vibration ang manibela even only at 120km/h. Is it normal for a bigger and wider tires or I have a problem I need to look at? TIA.

Yes sir it does affect the HP and torque depending on what tires and mags you are using i do have a dyno test to prove it.
When i dyno my truck with the original mags and a 255/85R16 MT tires my Hp on wheel is 109 and torque is 348.9
Now with the new mags and tires, Mags 16X8 offset -5 with a 285/75R16 MT tires, my hp on wheel is 88.9 and torque 345.1
Changing tires to a specific use is the way to do it. But then again if you want power better think and do a research which tires is more applicable to your needs.

sir,gt tama si sir,doy try mo na pa wheel balance yung sakin before pag tumatakbo ako ng 100-120 hindi ko makayanan yung vibration sa manibela akala ko dahil sa naka m/t ako hindi pala.pero ng nag pa wheelbalance 145 no problem na,the only problem is na huli ako sa sctex over speeding 1,300k din na gastos ko hehehe.

Wheel balancing lang yan sir with regards to vibration sa steering wheel as you speed up.

+1 sa balancing pards! Your tires are new kaya no problem yan, sa akin dati may bukol sa side kaya ang lakas ng vibration when I hit 90kph to 100kph-- I referring to the tires of my L300 versa van.

if on regular speed, walang wiggle, oks lang balance mo pero kung at higher speed nag wiggle ng tires mo, try high-speed wheel balancing, different from the regular wheel balancing ;) Good year servitek in pasig autocamp has one ;) Im not sure kung meron dyan sa area mo. I just had mine check on this, inusog ang stock clip weights ng mags ng 2 guhit lang from stock location;)
Or better have your tires/mags checked thoroughly ;) para sigurado baka me other factors or defect ;)

when i got my mags installed at concept one, nag wiwiggle pa rin at high speed so pinaulit ko ang balancing sa servitek sabay pa nitro. gumanda ang takbo at high speed. ang problema, pag pumepreno at high speed, merong wiggle. ano kaya ang solution?
