    Just to add..both of you are right...pero may kulang sa details yung explanations, kaya there is no consensus yet..yan din topic namin kanina sa brother in law ko...dapat talaga ni-record ko kanina..

    you seem to be very motivated. i know somebody with the same intensity as you who became a bodybuilding champion, who became a famous action star, who became the governor of california.

    if you keep doing what you are doing, there is no doubt in mind that you are going to achieve what you are trying to achieve. if you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand.

    damn, arnold schwarzenegger was a nobody in austria but he is now a somebody because he had vision. connor mcgregor was just a tubero in ireland but, now, he drives a lamborghini aventador roadster.

    i'll be very proud (no, WE WILL) if we have from tsikot our own version of "the notorious."

    Why brother in law asked, why i dont drink whey or take creatine like before, and how can i function most of the time on a fasted state, my answer was simple, genetics and natural limitations, i started training around my teens, i was strongest and most well fed at age 35yo, weighing in close to 300lbs, i dont want to post numbers of my lifts from back then when there is no vids or pics, as senior JM said, no pics = BS,
    now from those figures, i have a basis of comparison, there are almost no difference in terms of strength, except for the two major compound ones which is depended on weight of the individual, i lost more than a hundred pounds in weight since i was 35yo, so losing 20% benchpress and squats was a given, funny thing is im my deads increased, i joined the 400lb deadlift club at the age of 43yo,

    yes done at a fasted state, 3 years on I.F. now doing warrior diet( one meal a day) 1 year and counting, strength is the same..what i learned from this journey

    1. Everybody is different, due to our genetics and metabolism
    2. The articles in magazines like flex, M&F and bodybuilding.com are written for steriod users and ectomorphs, with the juice also comes additional protein synthesis, oo nga pala, main revenue earner of sites are for ads ng suppliments..

    3.fasting and calorie restriction are two different things,


    4. There is a starvation mode, but it happens after way pass 72hrs..now ill refer you to dr jason fung author of the obesity code.

The human body is not fragile, it will not eat itself if you miss a meal..btw, food stays in the body longer than 3 hours, upto 12hrs on some people, pag wala na syang makuha sa food, our body will make growth hormone, a 2000% spike in some cases, what does growth hormore do? Its a way for our body to protect itself from muscle catabolism..but it only happens when insulin is low..i saw a vid about the diffence between fasting and caloric restriction..another thing that increases is testosterone..

    6..ectomorphs..need not apply, i have a friend that eats a whole pizza 2x a week just to maintain weight..at 6 3" 190lbs, his goal is to gain another 5lbs..

    this is what cardozo refers to as "the clanging cymbals that drowns all weaker sounds."

    i hit the gym 3 to 4 times a week for strength in my golf which in itself a cardio exercise.

    i do deadlifts, squats, and all the other compound exercises that don't restrict the golf swing. i check my calorie intake thru myfitnesspal.

    Any excercise is considered good sir..when we reach a certain age, dapat workout should also change, from body building type workouts to something more functional or sports specific, deadlifts are good pero consider also doing kettle bell swings, its the best movement bar none for the porterior chain, where the power of the swing comes from, it includes the shoulders, core, glutes and hsmstrings...
