First time po naming mag-raise nito.

if you can spare half a day baba ka na lang ng Binondo and go to Chinatown petshop, importer sila ng Arowanas...

PM ko saiyo numbers nila ang yun owner, meron na rin sila branch sa Cartimar. as for yun iuuwi mo pa, walang problema yun kahit 24 hrs nasa plastic yun isda hinde mamatay imaging mo na lang yun byahe nila from Singapore to here, hinde naman namamatay.

if money is not a problem meron silang arowana that cost P400k+

but I suggest na kung mga kids mo magalaga eh takot ka baka mamatay kaagad mag "green" aro ka or "banjar red", around 5k siguro yan or yun green pag walang certificate siguro mga 3-4k pwede mo makuha.these two types of aros nasa lower price range, meron pa pala mas mura yun silver, but pangit kasi for me and beside magaalaga ka na rin dagdag ka na lang ng konti, mas mganda na makukuha mo.

I bought RTG (red tail golden) aro mid range and price nito I got it around 1.5-2 yrs ago yata for P25k.

here is an old pic of my aro, malaki na ngayon more than double the size na ang nilaki.

^^ Salamat Bro Shadow.

In a matter of 5 months, almost 1 foot na siya at lumapad pa. Ang bilis lumaki. Ang pagkain lang nya yung maliliit na gold fish. Yun lang. At syempre, palit ng tubig weekly, at may mga gamit pa siya para sa treatment ng water.

Parang madali lang alagaan eh (tama ba ako? He-he!).

silver arowana nga yata yun sinasabi mo mura lang dito yan around 500 nakakbili ka na, pero pangit kasi for me better to get the asian arowanas which are the green, banjar, rtg, crossback and super red, depende na lang sa budget.

kailangan mo pala ng malaking tank for aros, since mabilis nga sila lumaki, and dapat cover yun iabbaw kahit konting butas wala kasi no.1 cause of death ng aro is yun tumatalong palabas ng tank.

the certificate is parang birth certificate ng aros kung saan galing na farms, kasi since endangered species na sila bawal na ang wild caught, and meron din silang micro chip embedded sa body nila pag binili mo i=scan nila tapos yuhn number is pareho nun number sa certificate parang identity nila and siyempre ang importante sa certiicate is proof na galing sa reputable na farm yun aro and guarranty yun quality.

    here is my aro's certificate

    Para sa mahal niyong isda
Lay your dead fish to rest in Dagupan City

    By JING VALLEJOS, ABS-CBN Dagupan | 10/25/2008 11:12 AM

If fishes have their place in heaven, so do their remains in Dagupan City.

If you happen to have a dead fish in your aquarium, you can give him or her a proper burial in the first ever fish cemetery in Barangay Bonuan Binloc in Dagupan.

Since dead fish usually turn up in garbage cans or tossed to a hungry cat, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) thought of building a fish cemetery.

The death of a 1.2 ton whale named "Moby Dick" in 1999 gave the BFAR in Dagupan the idea of setting up the special cemetery exclusive for fish, particularly rare species.

The BFAR said no other endangered marine life have also been buried at the cemetery. As of this year, a total of 13 different species from Pangasinan, La Union and Metro Manila have been laid to rest in the fish cemetery.

Westly Rosario, executive director of the National Fisheries Research and Development, said the fish cemetery serves as a reminder to people that capturing, selling, and eating rare marine species is a crime, as stated under the The Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998.

Rosario and BFAR officers have started cleaning the fish cemetery, just like what people do before All Saints' Day on November 1.
