    now that the season is over (well, almost) , let's talk about the regular season mvp. . .who's your choice?

    ako na una: kobe

    the most-feared player on the court, especially at crunch time. . .c'mon, it's about time!. . .

    "should" = kobe
    "based on criteria" = garnett

    MVP-Kobe
    ROY-Durant
    COY-Rick Adelman
    6TH MAN-Manu
    MIP-Hedo

    Garnett's mvp bid lost steam when he sat some games due to injury while Kobe plays with a broken pinkie. Chris Paul has had his best season so far(he'll have more of seasons like this) but is still raw and untested. LBJ's team record hurt his bid.

    Durant is unquestionably the top rookie even if Oden did not show up for their rookie showdown.

    Rick Adelman guided to Rockets with some help from lady luck to a 22-game winning streak, that alone clinched the COY for him.

    Manu and Hedo are no brainers for their awards.

    kobe is good. but i don't know when those two things became a criteria in choosing an MVP.

    and kobe not winning the award despite all the stats these past few years??? well, it not because he's being robbed of the award. he has not won it in the past because another player deserved it more than him. nash, dirk, duncan....

    kobe might win it this year but he has serious competition.

    Ika nga, if Kobe gets the MVP because of the "about time" factor, should'nt Sloan win COTY several times in the past already since the Stockton/Malone era? hehehe.
