the NBA finally decided to suspend him though...i can't believe he gets the preferential treatment for his crap and people like Steve Jax and Artest get the book thrown at them all the time

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said he thought the league was trying to send a message to Bowen, who is sometimes labeled dirty, and that the incident didn't warrant a suspension.

"There's no real contact or anything," Popovich said. "It doesn't reach the level of other suspensions that I've seen, either in physicality or in harm to anyone. It's not even close to that level."

Popovich said when he saw the incident on television, it did appear Bowen's knee made contact with Paul's head. But after viewing it many times on film, a different perspective emerges.

"There's no contact whatsoever with his knee," Popovich said. "None."
