The sad thing is, it's not even Yi's fault... right from the start he already said he's just happy and excited to play in the league.

Rumor: Chinese officials asked the Bucks to give Yi a guaranteed 20mpg, i wonder if this is accurate.

If Sen. Kohl made that kind of promise, then he's out of his mind. It's supposed to be the coaching staff's call regarding a player's minutes and he has to earn them. Guaranteeing PT to an untested rookie is a surefire recipe for failure of the team. If I were Larry Krystkowiak or Michael Redd, I'll be looking for the emergency exit in a hurry.

I don't think he'll be a "bust" like a non-contributor... but he'll definitely play like a rookie Bogut, Bargnani where he's not a go-to-guy...
I think the classification of whether a draft is a bust or not depends on how much opportunity he gets and how well he maximizes those opportunities...
Especially with the Bucks where their offense is more guard-centric.
If he can get 10 and 5 in 20mpg or so, he'll be fine IMO.
It'll be good if he can play 3 and 4 spots as well. If Charlie V comes back strong, then he'll be in jeopardy...

He has to bulk up if he wants to play the low blocks, if he can develop into a Marcus Camby or Tyson Chandler type player, Milwaukee will have themselves a player. I don't think he'll be a go-to guy like a Yao Ming, he doesn't have the offensive skills, but he has the physical gifts to become a dominant defender / rebounder.
