another rumor...
According to multiple league sources, the New Jersey Nets were "very close" to completing a three-team trade that would have landed Lamar Odom from the Los Angeles Lakers while sending Richard Jefferson to the Charlotte Bobcats. The Lakers, in turn, would have received Gerald Wallace from Charlotte.
One source insisted Charlotte part-owner Michael Jordan squashed the deal.

Hope the Heat can get Pietrus. He'll thrive as a defensive 3 in Riley's system. If the deal goes through, they still have to get a PG to replace or backup Jay Will. With the Blazers signing Steve Blake and the Rockets inking Stevie Franchise, they can go after Rafer Alston (a bit unsteady), or try and make a run at Earl Watson from the Sonics by way of a trade.

anyone see the Team USA intrasquad scrimmage. Kobe wins it for this team with the winning shot and forcing Lebron to miss on the other end. it almost made up for the embarrassment he suffered when he went up for a reverse dunk and Lebron blocked it and sent him into the 3rd row :evillaugh
KD was reportedly on his way to being cut from the team, but is now making Coach K and company rethink that with a stellar 22-pt performance.
other unheralded players to play well - Tayshaun Prince, Mike Miller :2thumbsup:
up for suzuki
