I don't think Marion is available, unless they get a bonafide all-star in return.
Medyo erratic si Gordon still to streaky to count on, he reminds me of a former Piston Vinny "The Microwave" Johnson with more range.

That's true I think about BGordon, let's see if Hinrich will develop as a Stockton this year. He needs a Malone if that happens and who would that be? Tyrus Thomas?

Piatkowski bound to sign with Phoenix. Tim Thomas leaves Suns and House opts out. A healthy Amare is also the Suns need eh.

Trading for Iverson would put franchise back on NBA map
By Steve Bulpett
Boston Herald
It should be generally accepted that there will be at least some basketball questions to be answered if Allen Iverson ever finds his way into a Celtic uniform. When such major elements as Iverson and Paul Pierce are poured into the same beaker, the resultant chemical reaction cannot always be predicted with ultimate certainty.
But let’s wait a few paragraphs to ponder that. Let’s deal directly with the definite. The franchise will get at least one of its wishes. As an executive put it late Wednesday night, “Relevance.”
But with Allen Iverson here, that changes. If the Celtics are playing a Tuesday night game in early November, you have to watch. Pierce and Iverson sharing the same stage and ball could be virtuoso, capable at any moment of producing a hoop moment heretofore unseen. Or they could be a train wreck.
But you have to watch. Just ask anyone who went to a Doors concert in the late ’60s. Quite rightfully, any such move of this sort will ultimately be judged by how many games the Celtics win and how serious their postseason enterprise can be taken. To the people who sell tickets and sponsorships and those who must find buyers for in-game commercials on TV and radio, however, Iverson will bring victory before the first ball is dribbled.
The good feelings could well change if A.I. gets PO’d after a few tough outings, but it’s unlikely any of the contracts will offer paybacks for petulance. The Celtics do have concerns about Iverson away from the floor -- whether he will hinder the needs of a young and developing team with his distaste for practice. (The best player in franchise history wasn’t too crazy about the off-day sessions either, but Bill Russell was a man among veterans.) Some around the club wonder if Iverson will make too much non-basketball news.
But no one can ever question the hardwood heart of Allen Iverson. To criticize him for dominating the ball is to ignore the fact that he wants most of all to win and that said desire was best achieved with him firing away. And even with all of that, he still managed to finish eighth in NBA assists last season.
The critical aspect to consider here is that neither Pierce nor Iverson has ever played with anyone as good as the other. Pierce probably deferred too much to Antoine Walker at times, and word is strong that he would love the opportunity to run more freely with Iverson sharing the attention of the defense. According to a source, Iverson is talking as if he expects Atlanta is his more likely destination, but he, in return, has let it be known he’d appreciate playing with Pierce.
The presence of two such impact players on one team in a league that now whistles even casual contact would immediately put the Celtics on the radar screen.
Whether they could land long into the playoffs is still open to debate. That you and the rest of the basketball world would follow the flight is not.

Any potential trade involving AI would have to include Sebastian Telfair and one of the young bigs of Boston if they were to pursue this trade, and ofcourse a third team, maybe Atlanta.
