Too bad for the Pistons. They'll miss Big Ben's shot-blocking presence. I hope Joe D. can find a player to approximate what they'll miss in terms of rebounds and defensive hustle.

I think Joe Dumars thought Big Ben's shotblocking and rebounds is not really worth that much in conjunction with their recent loss to Miami. Now they want to spend on a player who is better suited to today's up tempo play so they need either:1 rebounding center who shoots FT better or 1 athletic scoring forward.

    1. insert your reason
    2. mid life crisis?
    3. flip saunders
    4. maybe he seeking 16M a year parang sa nba live...sayang if he were a free agent after the 04 season maybe the piston gave him that...but now and with a broken wrist i dont think so

Detroit's final offer was $48M, Chicago's offer was close to $60M, now thats 12 Million reasons why Big Ben bolted to Chicago. Now thats franchise player salary for a role player.... Chicago is rolling the dice.

Nuff said about Big Ben, will Allen Iverson be the marque FA to switch teams?
Celts are drooling over him. And AI is good for another 3 to 4 years. Enough time for Ainge to leave a Boston legacy?
