Congrats to the Heat, great game by Shaq, picking up the slack for Wade.

Interesting offseason for Detroit, will they sign and trade Big Ben? or risk loosing him without compensation, I'd go with the former. How about Flip Saunders?

the Heat was our last major sports franchise to make a Finals. the Dolphins won in 72 and lost the Super Bowl in 82 and 84 yata. the Marlins won in 97 and 03 (attended the 03 World Series - that was awesome, especially since they beat the sports franchise i hate the most - the Yankees), and the Panthers went to the Stanley Cup finals once but lost also.
bring it home boyz!!

June 3rd, 2006 01:24 PM #5287ist also easy to put the blame on the coach and especially to the pistons (who has a winning formula before they signed flip,
on ben wallace i think his troublesome wrist will be a factor if joe dumars will re-sign him (ayaw yata niyang ayos eh)
but surely you and i agree the piston did not lose this series but the Heat won it!Last edited by kimpOy; June 3rd, 2006 at 01:27 PM.

He-he-he pangit nga shoes ni DWade...pero doesn't matter....they're the new EAST champs.......HEAT all the WAY!!
What did I tell you guys about Shaq turning it on? This idea is starting to gain momentum.....but I won't force you into it if you think he's too old for turning things on....good times all around.

Kimps: Its easier to fire a coach than to trade a player
thats the way it goes in the NBA.
The Shaq turning it on issue has been there for years since their championship years in LA, make no mistake he played great against the Pistons, he struggled a bit against the Bulls and Nets. Last year he didn't play at this level, or the year before when he was still with LA.
However... the most dominant player in the playoffs has been Dwayne Wade, driving and dishing virtually at will, Lebron James has been great but Wade has played a notch higher.
The Heat peaked at the right time, and timing is everything in the playoffs.
Thread was made nung 2018 pa po sir.
