fourtheboys....interesting comments. that's a really good way of looking at it, and i'd like to take a shot:
championships - not as lopsided as 6-3 indicates. they both needed another superstar and Phil to get them. edge syempre kay MJ because he got 6 and once he figured out how to win, he never lost.
team play - parehong matigas ang ulo but MJ figured it out eventually. jury's still out on Kobe
stats - Jordan shot better FG% but he never shot 3's. Jordan's defensive stats slightly better but both are comparable lock-you-down type defenders. both awesome in the clutch. Kobe still doesn't have an MVP award though, while the only reason Karl Malone got an MVP award was because everyone got tired of voting for MJ all those years.
quality of competition - hmm...Kobe has Lebron, Wade, TD, Shaq, Tmac, etc. Jordan played against the all-time greats in their prime: Jabbar, Isaiah, Magic, Bird, Barkley, Hakeem, Drexler, Stockton
case closed?
kimps...lagi namang kino-compare yung dalawa ah...Wilt always got the better stats but Bill always beat him. so i guess the answer is "it depends",but you can at least compare them...most journalists that i've read say Bill is better

FXT: You probably can't even move sa star-struckness (if there's such a word) hehe. I remember some of the foreign players playing against the original Dream Team, di daw sila makakilos dahil natutulala sila... hehe

- Can anything else go wrong for the Houston Rockets? Tracy McGrady has missed more time after having severe back spasms that caused him to be removed from the floor by a stretcher at halftime of the team's game against Denver over a week ago. I'm starting to wonder if McGrady will ever be the same again, as back injuries have claimed more than their share fair of NBA players far too early. Let's hope T-Mac is not one of them, and that he can return pain free -- even if that doesn't happen this season.
- All may not be lost for Houston, however. Anyone remember the 1996-97 San Antonio Spurs. That group was a very good basketball team that lost nearly all of their major pieces to injury, including a star center by the name of David Robinson. The team finished with a dismal record near the basement of the league. So what good could come out of situation like this, you ask? Well, the Spurs drafted some guy named Tim Duncan with the #1 overall pick in the draft. Dude turned out to be a pretty good player.
