Well, the defending champs just got better with Finley and Van Exel on board, it also addressed their needs for a backup point and a consistent shooter off the bench.
The Spurs' rotation this upcomming season barring any injuries:
C- Nazr Mohamed
PF - Tim Duncan
SF - Bruce Bowen
SG - Manu Ginobili
PG - Tony Parker
Off the bench
Michael Finley (Sixth Man) / Brent Barry
Robert Horry
Nick Van Exel
Rasho Nesterovic
With a glut of shooting guards, I wonder if they will trade Brent Barry.

PF = Tim, Oberto
SF = Bowen, Horry, Finley
SG = Manu, Barry
PG = Parker, Van Exel, Udrih

Actually, its a good move for Finley, put yourself in his shoes, join Miami for 5 mil and play with an erratic White Chocolate, showboat Walker, Moody Shaq, "give me my shots" James Posey, and an oft injured D-Wade
. Join Phoenix for 1-Mil and get ruinited with your best buddy Steve Nash and a freak of nature in Amare Stoudamire, or Join the defending champs - TD and co. I rest my case

i agree, his best shot at a ring is in SA. my point was, it seems like he doesn't want to work for his ring cuz you know he's going to be playing 20 min a game shooting spot-up threes...

Well you can say that. but I think he's tired of playing 40+ mins a game which he did during his earlier days with Phoenix and Dallas, and when the playoff's come, he's burned out. He' true value will come during the post season where men are separated from the boys, he still produced some big games during last season's playoff run, I can see Tony Parker being benched for Nick Van Exel if he continues his erratic play come playoff time.

I think Robert Horry is chasing Bill Russel's record for most championships.
lets see he now has 6 - 2 with the Rockets, 3 with the Lakers and 1 with the Spurs, he needs 6 more... NOT :D
