a few answers for you guys:
1. head-to-head scoring is played more like a real sports league...every week you are assigned an opponent who you compete against for best total weekly stats. every stat you win or lose for the week counts in your W/L column and the best 8 records make the playoffs (btw playoffs are the last 2 weeks of regular season).
masarap to kasi may trash talking and bragging rights every week, and people adjust their lineups based on the strengths and weaknesses of their upcoming opponent. masaya din yung playoffs, where every week it's win or go home. the disadvantage is that kung malas ka in one week, or if your players don't have a lot of games, your season may be over. points and roto leagues reward players for being good over a whole season, while in H2H you just have to finish strong.
2. when does the league start?
i'll configure it so that we track stats starting with day 1 of the regular season. when do we start? kung gusto nyo draft na tayo ngayon eh(seriously!)
3. from PK: "I suggest that the league be open ONLY to frequenters of the NBA thread, as well as to last year's members of course."
i like this suggestion...it would ensure we have active managers. pero kahit active tsikot poster siguro pwede na rin.
4. "sana swertehin ako sa draft!"
have been thinking about this...kung autodraft gawin natin swertihan talaga. you can preset your draft order, op kors, but it's hard to draft smartly at every spot when the computer is drafting for everybody. malabo din siguro na mai-schedule natin ang live draft.
my only other suggestion is to do a "slow draft"...basically i will make a new thread and post the draft order and league rules/positions. players will then post their picks in order on the thread, para kuntroladong-kuntrolado natin ang mga draft natin (and it's fun to see it slowly unfold). only drawback is that it might take two weeks to finish...kung hassle yan, autodraft na lang tayo.

sa slow-draft ako :D, so pano yung draft order? By order of seniority ba?

Check out this exchange culled from an 18-page question-and-answer interview with NBA great Michael Jordan and ``Cigar Aficionado'' magazine editor and publisher Marvin R. Shanken:
QUESTION FROM SHANKEN: ``They say that from every experience, good or bad, there is a valuable lesson learned. What lessons did you take out of the Washington Wizards?''
ANSWER FROM JORDAN: ``I think it exposed me to a lot of decision-making. One of the bad decisions I made was to go back and play. Even though I was soothing an itch that I had, I also thought I was being innovative in my job by going down and evaluating the talent firsthand. I thought it would be a good idea to play against them, see what their tendencies were and what we were paying for. But at the same time, I became more critical of them because of the way I played the game and the way I'd approach the game, and the players didn't respond to that. They didn't respond to the desire that I had when I was playing. I may just have gotten too close to see or maybe too critical of certain actions of the players. That was one of the biggest mistakes that I feel I made in Washington.
``You go in with initiative, and you go into a program that needs guidance, and you have to find out what the agenda may be. With the Washington situation, there was an agenda. They were well over the cap and losing money''
