ILD - sali ka na! we'll announce it when we start registration next season. now that there won't be a lockout tuloy ang ligaya.
i was just thinking about this - the Pistons' lineup to match up against the Spurs should have been:
C - B Wallace
PF - R Wallace
SF - R Hamilton
SG - D Wade
PG - C Billups
OR
C - B Wallace
PF - C Bosh
SF - R Wallace
SG - R Hamilton
PG - C Billups
BUT THEY CHOSE:
Wallace, Wallace, Prince, Rip, Billups, bench player, bench player, bench player, bench player, bench player, bench player..................and Darko :bwahaha:

June 25th, 2005 09:49 AM #3274well Dumar's argument is that they already have Prince kaya they did not draft carmelo anthony...and darko fits the future plans of the pistons...
infairness marunong itong batang ito, kaso siyempre pagnasa dulo ka ng rotation, nawawala ang fundamentals, tapos ang bigat pa ng expectations nakaka nerve wrecking talaga...also darko's style of play is not the back to basket bigman that larry brown wants he's more of a mild dirk nowitzki who likes to face opponents.
ILD, mga four months lang ang waiting niyan sa 2nd "Mantoy Cup" tsikot fanstasy league si M54 and commisioner...
M54...reminder lang daily ang roster change ah he..he
suwerte!!!

Maybe we have another MJ scenario happening... The Pistons could have picked Dwayne Wade and traded Rip, or picked Carmelo and have him back up Prince. If Dwayne Wade goes on to have an Hall of Fame career, the Pistons will be kicking themselves...
Mmm... have seen Darko play some, and he is RAW. I'm sure he has some low post moves but he is RAW and Soft, don't know if his confidence has been shaken up too much by Larry Brown, perhaps the next Piston coach could add him to the rotation next season and get some confidence.
Toni Parker is indeed a lucky sonofagun!

June 25th, 2005 10:26 AM #3276during the 03 draft...mababa ang hype kay wade kasi he's an undersize SG and riley was even criticized pa nga...carmelo's numbers were up kasi he led the orangemen sa NCAA as a freshman...
hay naku past is past next year regroup na lang ang pistons...

Darko could still be a star someday, but I think for this to happen, he should be traded to a weaker team. Remember Jermaine O'Neal when he was with the then powerhouse Portland Trailblazers?

June 25th, 2005 01:20 PM #3278yup logjam sa center and PF
Sabonis, Wallace, Grant. that's the problem with high schoolers yung iba kasi nakapa raw pa talaga they need 2-3 years to improve (college)
siyempre there are exceptions (lebron, howard, tmac, kobe, amare, kemp)

When I see Jarmaine O'neal play before when he was in Portland you can see the flashes, I can't see that in Darko, unless something drastic happens. Plus if they traded Darko, it would be devastating for him and his confidence knowing that the Pistons gave up on him.

it will take a lot for Darko to improve. right now he looks like a short Shawn Bradley
the other young guys - Garnett, Kobe, McGrady, ONeal...you could see their phenomenal athleticism and physical ability when they were drafted. they just had to learn the skills. Darko looks like he first picked up a basketball 5 minutes ago. plus he's slow and doesn't look very agile either.
i forgot that he was picked ahead of Carmelo also...bwahaha. btw, not only did the Pistons miss out on huge talent, they also missed out on millions in marketing opportunities - think about all the jersey sales, endorsements, ticket sales etc. the pistons missed out on. i know they're doing pretty well already, but they still gave away money in that deal.
up for suzuki
