The way things are working out, the Lakers look like a sure 1st round casualty even if they do make the playoffs. If they get the 8th and last spot on the Western Conference, it'll mean an early date with Tim Duncan and the Spurs.

The Wolves will likely take the 8th spot over the Lakers and Nuggets unless Kobe takes a miracle drug and gets Lamar Odom more involved. Don't look now, the Heat are the hottest team in the East winning 9 straight if am not mistaken.

10 straight! they're the first team since the 95-96 chicago bulls (72-10) to have 2 double digit win streaks in the same season.
