    From MANILA BULLETIN ONLINE News:

    Pacquiao gets face on stamp
Manny Pacquiao became the first Filipino athlete to be featured in the Philippine stamp, the Philippine Postal Corporation announced yesterday.

Pacquiao and PhilPost officials signed a memorandum of agreement for the issuance of a special stamp which will be the first in a series of special issues covering Filipino achievers in the field of sports and the arts under the PhilPost’s project dubbed as "Kaya ng Pinoy."
The 29-year-old champion said he is honored for the recognition given by Philpost.
Postmaster General Hector R.R. Villanueva said Pacquiao deserved to be featured in stamp because of his tremendous achievements in boxing.
"The Pambansang Kamao really deserves this because no other Filipino boxer has achieved what he accomplished. He’s been a world champion for more than four years now and his feats are still growing," Villanueva said.
Pacquiao will be lined alongside heroes, painters and presidents who had been featured in stamps.
The special stamps is being issued by PhilPost to promote, publicize and draw attention to people, events and objects of national and international significance. They shall be issued in limited quantities and available for philatelic sale.
"To be featured in a stamp alongside with other great heroes in Philippine history is indeed a great honor for me," Pacquiao said.
