Danny Green made an appearance at the Heat’s championship celebration
San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green was on pace for a potential NBA Finals MVP trophy. Then the final 28.2 seconds of Game 6 happened, and then all of Game 7, and, well ... Green attended a championship party, but it wasn't his own.
This is going to set Green up for some serious abuse, but here it is: Green hit Story, a Miami club, in the wee hours of Friday morning to join in the Miami Heat's celebration festivities. Green and LeBron James were close while both played with the Cleveland Cavaliers, which at least partially explains Green's presence there.
We're not going to go all Internet troll/Skip Bayless and make some holier-than-thou pronouncement about how Green should be either sitting in a dark room meditating on his failure or already in a gym practicing free throws with a maniacal look in his eye. If the guy wants to go congratulate his friend on winning pretty much all there is to win in the NBA, more power to him. Still, San Antonio fans might not be so charitable, especially given that Green went 2 for 19 for eight total points in the decisive final two games.
