Can someone confirm this?

May 14th, 2007 12:06 AM #738Hi To All Mountain bikers,
Maki-join na nga po to all your discussion about mountain bikes. I am a weekend rider with a 1994 Killer V Cannondale Trailbike, gusto ko po sana i-convert this bike into a Road Bike due to my riding condition here in our area. My questions are;
1. Do I really need to change the whole frame and use other things?
2. Is changing only the fork make any difference?
By the way, do we have a mountain bike group that I can join in Manila?
Thanks!
iskulbukul - salamat for your info/reply.

I would recommend Kings!
Sir, there is a group of MTBikers... PinoyMTB heres the link: http://pinoymtbiker.proboards7.com/
Anyway with regards to your question... Trail Bike > Convert to > Road Bike?
You have to deal with these things:
1) You might be interested in Hybrids. They're not Road Bikes but they are more road worthy than mountain bikes. If you really want to go for Road Bikes, you are facing a whole greater stuff since it includes weight, aerodynamics etc. etc.
2) Changing forks makes a lot of difference in your riding style. There are different forks in different usage. Some people change forks becuase they link the features and the way they perform.
