mas ok ang disc brakes sa trails, especially sa freeride and downhill. kasi yung tires are generally bigger and the wheels don't have to be true.
it'll go away after a while...unless you push yourself more and more every ride. a massage is always good.

Some comments on the Thule Spare Me rack. Since similar design yata with Hollywood and Giant racks, hindi ba may part ng bike na sumobra sa right side body ng Patrol?
Incidentally, i saw a cheaper Thule Bike carrier(5K) but it mounts on the roof, which mean you have to have the Thule roof load carrier.
Great and simple rack IF you have a spare tire that is reasonably well centered on the back of your car. I have a Honda CR-V, the spare is on the right side - and even with the rack adjustment for non-centered spares, my bikes hung 8-10 inches off the side of he car. If you get this rack with a non-centered rack, get some orange visibility flags! The engineers took a day off when they designed this rack. The bars to hold your bicycle are too wide to fit standard mid-size road bike frames (e.g., 52cm Trek 5200). Don't buy this unless everyone you plan to ride with is over 5'8"!

The Hollywood's rack can be adjusted for off-center tire carriers so the bike will be in the center of the vehicle. Although I did not adjust mine, hindi naman lumampas sa side ng vehicle yung bike. But if I'm going to carry two bikes, then I have to adjust the mounting.

mahal kung buong discbrakes bibilihin nyo, what i did is get an LX brake levers, hone calipers, any shimano cables and yung mineral oil sa mercury, costs around 6k lang hydraulic disc brakes na then just buy alligator rotors, rivals my bro's juicy 5 which costs him around 11k plus maintenance free pa yung akin, i had to bleed my bro's juicy 5 once in a while depende sa temperature kasi naglolock
i came from vbrakes, mechanical disc brakes and now hydraulic. advantage lang ng vbrakes is weight, usually a few grams lang but stopping power walang kwenta hehe
for trail riding best is to go with hydraulics, there'll be a big difference in your riding level, you'll realize you can now go down steeper descents, approach lines faster and control your bike better

Pucha, soooobrang init kanina. We went trailing at 4:00PM. Less than 20min palang, nanlalambot na ako, ang dami naming water stops kanina.
miLes, kelangan pa ba ng cable ng hydraulic brakes?

How often do you clean your bikes? Especially the chain/sprocket/cassette? Do you oil it everytime you clean the bike?
someones are (at last!) loudly asking, "why did they turn off the countdown timers?"
