Just got my bike a few days ago.
I dont know guys but after giving it a couple of tests on pavement and gravel roads I find it very comfortable and easy to use. The rear suspension works really well on the curbs and bumps almost feels like riding on a cloud. Its going to be hard to return it because frankly Im having a blast riding it. It may be slghtly heavier than a hardtail but for me I think I prefer a softer ride than a slghtly lighter one. Besides I wont be doing any uphill climbing from where Im at. Just a stroll around the neighborhood and burning calories is enough excitement for me hehe.Anyways thanks for your opinion guys, I really appreciated it.

August 24th, 2006 06:52 PM #453nice bike, honeslty for starters there is no wrong bicycle. its just a matter of wanting it or if you think the bicycle is cool.
Its your attitude that would count. Try going up with that and try to improve yourself.
Welcome to the bicycle world!
Am sure you would enjoy every pedal you make. hehehehe

Guys, okay ba ang mountain bike na makukuha sa BPI Credit Card Frequent Shoppers Promo in terms of quality and durability of parts? Anyone here who has availed of this item from this promo?
Kasi, I plan to get this one and shift my daily exercise from a 1 hour brisk walk to 1 hour of biking.

bikes you see on the mall.
Not trail worthy
not for professional use.
a simple way at looking at bicycles.
Got to Powerbikes near Powerplantmall tabi ng Ateneo
Youll see what real bike looks like.
Accomodating sila at ok yung shop.

August 28th, 2006 10:35 AM #456cvt, since you are only after the exercise that you'll get and not actually the "enjoyment" of the sport...a not so expensive bike will do...kasi baka di mo rin magustuhan at later on huminto ka, sayang lang...ang importante tama ang sukat sa iyo at magagamit mo ng maayos..ibig sabihin smooth gamitin di palyado ang shifting, brakes are good etc..things na malabong makuha mo sa mall bikes.
i suggest you visit a real bike shop...tama si maxbuwaya...aside from powerbikes theres extreme in timog and all terra in libis..dyan more or less di maaalagaan ka and you will get good advice di ka pa lolokohin kahit alam nilang newbie ka..dami pa just too many to mention.
iwasan mo muna yung quiapo at cartimar..maraming manloloko dyan pag halatang wala kang alam...hindi lahat though dami rin maaayos like ross, paulinas etc.

August 30th, 2006 02:34 PM #458miles....hmmm...i was reading the threads related to mountain biking... i think it was you who shouted my number when we arrived at the control/check point at the same time during the lamesa 24hr race..48!!! hahaha! dont worry per my team mates 2 laps rin ang nawala sa record ko.
pareho na tayong hilo...yung ID ko nasa napunta sa likod ko so hindi nila ma-record and they were asking me (and you too)... then one of the marshals positioned at the back reading my number shouted "48!" ...somehow you heard that and to my surprise you also shouted 48!
one hell of a race...it was fun.
