pparado, ako lang nagassemble ng mga bike ko. ever since nagaasemble na ako ng mga gnagamit ko. i can see that u'r in baguio di masyado lam yung mga shops dyan eh pero here in manila may kinukuhanan kami ng parts na mura lang and alam ko na original shimano parts. 15 k ok na yan for a Montain bike but not a racer bike. kung pang everyday lang na maganda performance tama na yang budget mo. i'll give you a tentative breakdown
AlloyFrame with seatpost: M5 or Schwinn mga 4000
Shimano Bottom bracket 500
Shimano Plate (malaysia) 600
Shimano break cable 200
Acera hub with 8 plates 1500
Acera Shifter 700
Scott alloy handle bar (taiwan) 180
Safetyline double wall Rims 450 (each)
Acera side pull brakes 550 / pair
cannondale grips 400 (pero may local 80 lang)
acera front derailure 300
Shimano gear changer 800
Head set for the fork 250
Suntour fork 3500
black bike spokes 500 (set of 2 tires)
Alloy pedals 250
bike seat / gel saddle 500 (local 200 lang)
tires - Michelin 500 each, cheng shin 300 each
yan masusuggest ko sayo, yan yung medyo ok na mt bike. yung iba kasi overkill na kung hardcore ka talaga.
avid disk brakes 6500
air suspension fork 8000
top of the line shimano diore parts x3 dun sa price ng acera
tagal pa ko bago maka buo ulit ng bike mga 3 months pang ipon

ppardo,
kung san mo bibilhin dun ka na din magpakabit nyan. Alam ko lang is sa may araneta ave maganda yung prices nila dun. Newton pangalan nung shop.
regarding yung rates nyan pinost mo na bike ok na siguro yan. i'm not quite familiar with full suspension bikes eh. i'm jst using the hard tail ones. baka pag punta mo dito sa manila pwede ka dumaan sa sinasabi ko na shop. or punta ka sa pinoy mt bikers forum.... ngayon ko lang nalaman yan eh.
btw i'm back to biking my best friend lent me his GT bike eh

pparado -- tama is kicker15, its better to assemble your bike than buying this off the shop
sa experience ko lang, hindi ako bumibili ng frame na off the rack or off the shelf.
i buy the tubes and then have my size measured para tama ang fram size sa katawan. this is very important not only for comfort but for your back as well. plus, pag nabuo na yung frame mo, you can choose your colors and personalize this. puede mo pa palagyan ng pangalan mo, initials mo or handle mo
i am not familiar with the bike shops sa newton sa araneta ave.
if you want alternatives, you can try cartimar in pasay (maraming shops doon) or in tryon sa jp rizal makati
