    max,
The LX groupset is around 14K na. That'll leave you with little room for other components. Kulang 20K for an LX equipped bike. Gulliver is selling his Deore groupset. PM him about it. One word to describe his Deore: FRESH

    suggestion.

Have you tried sa Corrigidor? nag hikng kami duon once. I think one of the best place para mag MTB (not masturbate) you get to explore the ruins more closely. at wala pang mga kotse at bastos na mga dyipney o bus driver

Bakit di ka pupunta sa Sunday? We need to build up our stamina for our out of town trips! Hehe see you next Sunday sir
Ang taas naman ng mortality na yan hahaha... ok, like i said, no problem, as long as we don't have to pick up any bills. kahit isa lang kasama ko, ok lang. eka nga, the trail is the thing, and maybe a dozen cans of SMB light afterwards ;)

But i really can't come this Sunday cuz have to do my husbandly duties (you know exactly what i mean Lance ;) ) am praying the weather holds up in Subic this weekend. the 17th is again touch and go for me, will advise na lang.

Sige lang, am trying to keep up my resistance by biking nightly, kaya lang umuulan-ulan na naman. sheesh...

u guys never bike on saturdays? and is the UP oval cordoned off on saturdays like sundays ba?

    max,

you sound like a true MTBer (not masturbator ha) hehehe, couldn't resist. anyway, corregidor does sound interesting. so you take one of those ferries right? can you keep your bike beside you or do you have to stuff it somewhere? heard there's a nice hotel there we can stay in.

as for my DEORE, Vince is right. i was going to sell the whole set presently on my wife's bike (that is hardly, hardly used) pero i learned i can buy an XTR crankset by itself, and not necessarily the whole XTR set (50k!). so will probably leave the rest of the DEORE stuff on for the second bike i'm building up.

btw, am selling the Scott bike with its original setup as i bought it from mega, if anyone is interested best offer na lang but i bought it for 11k, so i won't sell it for less than half. if no takers, will donate it to a good cause.... i've got my eyes on another frame for a second bike and I could use the extra cash. (and more importantly free up some space in my home!) ;)

well i dunno kung paano magload ng bike, prabably may extra charge yun. d pa din ako nakakapagtry magdala ng bike, pero parang ok nga duon

kasi noong nagpunta kami, we just hitch from a phil navy boat, i believe it was the battle ship bonifacio so libre yung nga lang sa deck kami nakaupo, sa tabi ng mga baril hehehehe
i could ask again my friends from the navy kung nagpapahitch ulit sila ng civilian, although mahirap mag pasked lalo na red alert sila. at walang pang crudo(ninanankaw daw kasi yung pondo hehehehe)

    Guys!
Question. San kaya makakabili? I don't mind the brand basta aluminum. Thanks!

Sa cartimar marami akong nakitang 17 at 18. Sa iba ibang shops dun. Pinakamabenta ata ang 16's

    Max,
Tara na. Set up na. Isa yun sa target ko mapuntahan on my bike eh. Dunno now kung pwede na mag bike dun. I'd advice you to setup a Deore bike nalang. For 20K you could have a decent frame, Deore groupset with disc brakes, Mavic rims. For an LX bike, you need another 10K pa siguro. Gulliver's setup is based on a Giant XTC frame kaya umabot ng 30K+.

hik-hik-hik, ikaw pa kimpoy, mawalang nurse....puede ba yon? ;)

Check out the Giant XTC or Giant Iguana hard-tails, may 17 and above, 15k sa Extreme. Am very happy with mine. Entry-level MTB's ata itong mga to by US standards, pero ok na ok para sa mga katulad kong recreational biker lang.

Mountain Biking...freespirited, and not-so-complicated fun
