February 9th, 2008 04:16 PM #1434pards sa Quezon Memorial Circle madami tambay na bikers sari sari from 5am onwards usually saturday pero mas madami kapag Sunday. Sari sari nakakasabay namin, we even met and went out with lots of St lUkes's MD mga tatlo nakasama namin. Punta kami usually sa San Mateo, akyat kami Timberland tapos balik-uwi na. Kapag mainit, highly advised to stock Gatorade or other electrolytes. O kaya kung tubig lang dala nyo, senyorita o latundan na saging na marami. Para di kayo magcramps.
Am into my 3rd bike now, im using a 17" Giant. So far ayos naman performance. Paakyat sa San mateo timberland you have the option to proceed to a singletrack ride sa AFP but you have to leave your ID sa guard. For starters pwede hetong route although the more extreme riders go all the way through. Ang tumbok nyo yung papuntang Marikina na sa Meralco towers. It's a "must see" route di lang sa scenery pero yung adrenaline ang sarap. The more frequent you ride, the more you know what bike part you need to upgrade kase on cross country rides such as this you would rely heavily on the strenght of your bike parts, from running mechanism (groupset) to brakeset to wheelset....speaking from experience lang po...have a safe ride!

Had my first out of town trail yesterday. We went to Clark-San Martin in Pampanga. The trail was just around 35kms round trip. But it has a lot of uphill/downhills (around 70%). Good thing the weather was great yesterday, very windy.

I'm really impressed with you guys mountain biking in that 85+ degree weather with all that humidity...I would most likely bog out after just 30 minutes of trail riding...I really think Pinoys can do well against other countries in cross country biking competitions if we put our minds to it...

someones are (at last!) loudly asking, "why did they turn off the countdown timers?"
