Btw, I read the Suntour Epicon fork review... Parang gusto ko nito ah!
Reviewed by a Pinoy!
STRENGTHS: At 4.01lbs. its lightweight in its class, REBOUND adjustment. very very cheap! P4,800 brandnew. Plush and stiff,no joke!
WEAKNESSES: Stickers on the legs has some annoying bubbles.Aside from that,no problem with this fork.
Review: i love my 2 Axon forks,i sold my 7mos.old Axon. but i still have my 2year old Axon fork which my cousin still uses. from the time i put it on my bike and inflated the required psi,i never touched it since then. no air and oil leaks, very very very dependable and durable. the only thing thats keeping my axon from 5 star rating is that it doesnt have rebound adjustment. but now for 2008, they released Epicon,120mm.travel with all the features of Axon plus a rebound adjustment that really works. its travel fits my fs bike, its compression mates with my fox rp23. try closing your eyes then compress the fork. you wud mistaken it for a bomber, its stiff enuf when u turn the bar on an almost deadstop. at first i couldnt believe how perfect this cheap fork is. i have used different expensive fork brands before, but none surpasses the durability, value, dependability of my old Axon Fork.i believe that my new Epicon would be just the same. Rockshox dual air chambers leaked during a 24hr race,Bomber's TST adjustment became inaccurate afetrsometime,Fox's oil leaked on the oil seals.i never experienced any of these from my Axon even after using it once in a 24hour race and once in a marathon race and a couple of endurance races. After using the Epicon twice on the trail,i must say its way better than my Axon. the Epicon performs fairly on small bumps on low speed. but it performs best on medium to big bumps on a moderate and fast speed,it soaks everything it hits. It even has a lockout which u can adjust the sensitivity so u can sprint without bobbing too much but still allow some movement for small bumps. im not a sales rep for suntour, but i believe this fork would be the most under rated fork for this season. If u are looking for a 5inch fork who does serious trail riding, races once in a while and doesnt mind the brand,go for this fork.
5 stars for value, 5 stars for performanceLast edited by drey; December 17th, 2007 at 06:55 PM.

Waaahhhhhh!!!!
Sir Isuzoom, I don't need a race bike. Just a weekend bike that will force me to go back to Mountain Biking again. Enough to compete as well, kung gusto ko! :hihihi:
How much would this cost me with your specs? Anyway, my big budget goes to moving parts, that's why Deore XT. Regarding sa hubs, I like sealed bearings more compared to the cone of Shimanos. About 717's, how do they compare to 223's? Cassette's, should I go spider or ordinary ones?
Hmmm... the Easton looks expensive...
I'd stay away with Rock Shox na... My friend won't recommend one, plus the resale is like Nissan!Last edited by drey; December 17th, 2007 at 10:30 PM.

It's not really for racing but depende sa biking style mo..I go for XC race bike because of the weight and my favorite trails are mostly hardpacked and long distance travel....no downhills and drops.....more speed and distance travel for me.
Mavic 717 disc is top of the line rim for mavic.. mine is mavic 717, xt hubs and DT rev ...13k.
Depende talaga sa style ng ride...if rockshox is a nissan....then RST is a sarao.

mahal yung van R mu.. i was selling mine once used for 16.5k kaso may kumuha na. if you can get my friend's van RLC for 19k mas ok yun, for 1k diff you get lockout, compression, preload and rebound not like sa R na preload and rebound lang. text me 0917 5319415, mas sulit yung 19k na RLC kaysa 18k na R lang
the dt swiss revo is more durable than those generic ones. ive dropped 6ft to flat on generic spokes so sure yun na kayang kaya ka ng revo.
im not sure if the sram shifters will shift well with shimano derailleurs, better if mag shimano ka lahat or mag sram nalang. get the avid brake levers.
imatch mu seatpost, stem and handlebar. go for FSA or truvativ. saddle get the fizik aliante before selling for 4k now selling for 2.8k or the fizik gobi around 3k now. cassette xt kana
