Bakit gusto mo tubeless? Hirap yan pagna-flat ka sa trail, wala kang reserba. Unlike sa tube type, pwede ka magdala ng spare tube.

Mabigat for my liking sir boybi.

Tsaka, I plan to buy a tubeless wheelset na rin. Madali lang naman ata, dala ako ng toothpaste full of those tubeless repair paste if ever na ma flat ako.

Pero not sure pa talaga, I am still weighing my priorities.

    hey drey!
ditto on tubeless.. mas madali and practical mga tube types...

anyway aside from resisting puncture, another advantage with tubeless is you can safely lower the tire pressure further than tube types, good ito when the trails get muddy.

pero.. isusumpa mo ito once crap happens to the tires and your in the middle of nowhere :D

i heard ok daw ang juju hubs, naka sealed bearings na daw.. I did'nt opt to get these types, afaik shimano never had any sealed bearing hubs din rayt? also.. my generic hubs has'nt breakdown yet.. tsaka nalang, sirain ko muna

cane creeks are good. basta sealed bearing headset ok. I used a cheap one before, vectorlite, naka sealed bearing din.. ayun buhay pa din, nailipat ko pa sa bike ni erpat.

Btw, wacha guys think of the new suntour fork? the epicon... 5" travel, 32 mm stanchion with air dampening. afaik 4.5k sa lbs.

Not really sure about Sun Tour forks. They came out of nowehere tapos okay rin feedbacks nila.

Talking about forks, okay ba ang Fox Vanilla R sa malalaking tao? Baka kasi plush masyado if I buy one.

btw, just need some feedbacks sa proposed bike ko. Will be posting some specs mamaya... Hehehe... Class time na kasi, baka ma late pa ako. Bye bye for now.

Tubeless technology after all these years for me hindi pa din reliable.

Suntour really didnt came out of nowhere, hindi lang sila "Loud" Product like Fox And rock shox na laging laman ng magazine Advertisement.

Pics of my bike as of last month hehehehe

sorry late busy sa office will post pics tom

*boybi, long sleeves...pwede but mainit parin araw, i still get tan when biking. trance is a trail bike, if you want something lighter get the anthem. kung may budget ka get the epic

*wren, yup that's true, hans rey and steve peat when they did the pub tour thing

*drey, i use cane creek and fsa for my headsets pareho ok, cane creek tested na durable, for tubeless tires naman you have to have tubeless specific rims or converted. for hubs get the 08 xt lighter than 07 model ...made in malaysia nga lang di na japan hehe. tubeless tires are cheap, mahal yung rims

actually you can put interiors sa tubeless tires pagnaflat. ok sa tubeless if may puncture just inflate the tire pwede pa no need to vulcanize unless kung sobrang laki nung puncture

if you're concern bout cost vs weight saving, go for giant interiors, lightest interiors ive came across 200 each lang tapos dt swiss revolution spokes 4,000 72 pcs, still cheaper compared to going tubeless then palit tires yung maxxis 310. yung ibang money pang upgrade mu nalang ng ibang parts

height is not the basis for the fork but the riding style. the 08 fox van R is classed as all mtn/light freeride fork, it'll slacken your headangle (if coming from an xc fork or any lower travel fork) making descending better but sacrifice uphills.

btw my friend is selling his 08 van 32RLC for 20k neg almost brand new. once you've tried fox di kana magiibang fork hehe super plush, very predictable on the trail, ramdam ku agad yung diff under the bars coming from manitou and marzocchi

    ok suntour for the value

    Nice rig sir maxbuwaya...

Thanks for the tip... I'd stay away nalang sa tubeless and pick a light tube.

Suntour forks are cheap! Yes they are! But the sales support/product support isn't at par with Fox right? What about reliability? German company to right?

Fox kasi, it's like bling, a fork with prestige! Yummy.

miLes, I was actually opting for the Epic. Pero may nagsasabi na hindi ganun kalambot yung ride nya. Parang hardtail daw sya because of the brain shocks. What I like sa Epic is malinis yung front triangle nya, madali kong isakay sa bike rack ko. Itong XAM2 ko now, medyo hirap ako ikabit sa rack, istorbo yung shox.

Re: Suntour Epicon, maganda ang reviews dito. Value for money, especially if hindi ka naman conscious sa brand name.

How many times would your fork actually get serviced? For its price, pwede mo nang itapon yung Suntour fork mo pag may sira and get a new one, hehe

    Magkano daw Epicon sir boybi?

Thanks for the reply Miles... Actually, may contact na ako sa 08 Fox Vanilla R for 18K lang BNEW na!

I ride ride hard on bumps, ang ayaw ko kasi sa w/ tube tires, yung nozzle, something like that, nabebent sya tapos deflated na ang tire... Grrr... Palagi ito even if I change my rim tape and tubes. And about sa spokes, sir miles, you recommended dt swiss revolution spokes. Okay yun? Will it handle big 200 pound guy like me?

Guys, what do you think about the RST Titan? Since we are also talking about SunTour, ano ba magandang components nila aside from the forks?

    Here's my specs nga pala...

    Front Suspension: Fox Vanilla R
    Brake System: Avid BB7 6"
    Brake Lever: Speed Dial 7
    Shifters: Sram X-9 Trigger Shifters
    FD: Shimano Deore XT
    RD: Sram X-9
Crankset & BB: Shimano Deore XT
    Hubs: Fat Boy
    Rims: Mavic ------- ????
    Spokes: ---------------
    Tube: ----------
    Tires: ----------
    Saddle: --------------
    Stem: -------------
    Handlebar: -----------------
    Cassette: ------------
    Seat post: ---------------

Ano mga recommendations nyo? Gusto ko mutt version ng bisikleta. Cross-bred ang AM and XC. :hihihi:
