    it's been a while.

anyways, april_ryan, dan's bike shop is in Petron near the Dasmarinas Village across Pasay Road in EDSA. you could also try Sabak Outdoors in Pasong Tamo in Makati.

    ian_rex,

thanks for heads up. found dan's bike shop late this pm. very helpful guy there. pero they sell high end stuff pala.

ang gusto ko lang naman, to have someone look over the bike i got and see if it needs fixing. hahahah! parang nahiya nga ako when i got there. anyway, i don't know if he was just being nice, but he said they can also check out my bike for a small fee.

i just need a pump (to put air on the deflated tires), and a bike rack. para makarating ako dun with my bike.

will also check out sabak outdoors.

    Guys, question lang.

I have a bike already, one of those 3-4K types sold sa mall (I forgot the name of the outdoor/mountaineering shop dyan sa Park Square in front of True Value) 3 years ago pa ata.

I want to use it daily to commute to work since 7km lang naman going to office from my house.

    Problems are:

    1) Mabigat sya
    2) Maingay pedal nya, it squeaks
    3) Mabigat sya i-pedal
    4) Nagootso yung gulong ata... not sure.

Ano magagawa ko sa mga prob and how much aabutin?

Sabi ni Impulzz at ni Blackmagic sakin dati the "plato" sa harap is too big, kaya hirap ipedal... My tires are too heavy din daw (off-road ata hehe)...

Gusto ko pagaanin without spending that much, pano kaya? Thanks.

You could but you'll end up changing the whole bike. or you could convert it to "drillium", drill out the parts to make them lighter

you can try changing tires to slicks, or thinner tires-max 1.9 ang taba, lube the chain and tighten pedal, baka maluwag lang kaya maingay, try shifting to the next sized plate para magaan ipedal, new tires costs around 400 to 500 per pair, i think you can even get something cheaper. sa gulong naman dapat itrue na yung spokes nun, another reason why it might be heavy pedaling is that since nagootso yung rims tumatama siya sa brake pads

I guess gulong muna unahin ko, do I need to change the wheels as well o pwedeng tire lang basta parehas yung lapad?

Matalbog nga to hehe... funny how "complex" a 2 wheel transpo can get...

    So may improvement na if:

    1) Get slicks
    2) Change the sprocket-like thing sa pedal

Wala akong balak palitan buo kasi hehe, not a "biker", pang transpo lang talaga...

Makapal pa sobra yung tires, kasi at the most mga 30-40x ko palang nagamit biking from our house to Robinson's Metro East nung nag-gy-gym pa ako, that's like a 5km ride balikan hehe...

While I do have strong legs for squats and other weight-lifting tasks, mahina ako sobra sa endurance/marathon type of activity hehe... Napapagod mga soccer-player quads ko agad :P

Hmm...

Looking for not so expensive Mountain Bike
