regarding sa tires, you could get maxxis holy roller, 2.4. its wide enough but almost no rolling resistance at all. yung gamit ko nga, 2.5 na WTB Timberwolf at Nokian Gazza 2.3, hay grabe, parusa yun sa kalsada.

check this site: Holy Roller, http://www.maxxis.com/products/bicyc...ail.asp?id=301

    High Roller, http://www.maxxis.com/products/bicyc...ail.asp?id=237

Maybe we can arrange a Bike EB naman kina Big Berts Ortigas.

Beginner city biker lang (25 km every other day inside the village) and we have a few questions on how to improve our bikes, maybe we can interest the veteran bikers to join.

    Anyone?

Gazzi 2.3 and WTB 2.5 is kinda big for street or xc use. Ok lang ito for DH and freeriding.

hi.. pde pa po bang buhayin ang thread? hihi

ano po ang advantage ng magaan na bike? tong akin kasi anlaki ng frame kaya mabigat. pero di ko pa nakuha ang exact wight. from tis looks, its heavy. nakita ko rin ang mga pics ng mga branded bikes like BMW, Hummer etc. ang frame nila hindi mataba hindi pereho sakin. nag taka nga ako.. yung bike ko eh bought from south harbor at 4+k.. full suspension. since we bought it, pinalitan lang namin ang seat at ang parang gear sa likod na gulong..

Advantage of a light weight bike is you don't have to put as much effort in "lifting" the bike when you go uphill or similar. My old mountain bike can weight as much as 30 pounds fully loaded but stripped it would be just under 20 pounds with a rigid fork. With a suspension fork, weight goes up to almost 23lbs.
