Most Rotary Clubs have medical missions. Some conduct them once or twice a year while others emphasize their medical activities especially if they have a club member who is a doctor.

Your friend may want to consider joining a Rotary Club near his home (Fairview QC) or near his place of work and lead that club's medical projects.

what residency program is he/she planning to take? is he/she planning to do the serving thing for the remainder of this year before his/her residency training? kadalasan kasi may pre-residency program pa yan. depende sa training institution, minsan december ang start ng pre-residency, minsan naman october or november (kaya mahahati ang time niya for service).

OT: 1,400 na lang ang nag-NMAT (national medical admissions test) last year, down from 6,000 the previous years. its a steady decline. this will impact heavily on medical schools. one major medical school has already closed. pretty soon, sobrang konti na lang talaga ang mga doctors. Dr. Bu Castro calls it the "medical apocalypse - the end of medical practice in the philippines."

Doc, nung huli kong tinanong eh Dermatology daw. hehehe.
