Thats why you don't benched a player for bad game or an off night. Every single game counts, masyado maigsi ang tournament. And Chot has been coaching for while to know that a player some time has an off night or some match-up problems.

Chot Reyes just loves the attention too much and wanted to put dramatics into it. And typical pinoy mentality of wanted the odds to be stacked against them and came out victorious at the end, which in reality seldom happens in real life. Kahit yun mga hollywood movies wala ng ganung ending.

For me as a player and as a college coach, mali yung ginawa nila kanina na pilitan pa mag-overtime para habulin 11pts.

1. Hindi na nga kaya nung masa mahabang oras, tapos in 5 minutes sasabihin mo na kayang gawin manalo nang more than 11pts? Kalokohan mo chot!!!

2. Nakakabastos kaya sa kalaban yun, parang sinabi mo na rin sa kanila n madali mo silang matatambakan.

The truth is we didn't defend well enough. Puro under the screen in rol ginagawa nila eh puro na nga tres ang tira. Dapat over the screen tapos trap the ball handler, rotate fast para makatira man, 2 points not 3. 2nd big mistake, hindi na naman naka-capitalize size advantage sa loob which gave the lead anyway. Last quarter hindi na naman consistently nabigay kay Marcus ang bola. Kayang-kaya niya eh. Kaya lalo tuloy nasayang na nabangko siya the previous game, medyo na-off tuloy. Sayang talaga. Sana palitan na si Chot, he is unraveling sa pressure of gettng a win. Hindi na minsan logical ang palitan niya nang tao.

Also, Gilas relly needs a James Yap type of a player. Yung go-to-guy. Although baka iba din laro if Castro was there. He can break defenses and shoot the three as well kasi. Baka yun mas malaking nawala sa atin.
