    Beg to disagree sir.

We have a friend na tapos na ng residency training sa peds, so in effect speacialist na sa Pinas, pag dating sa NY natanggap mag training, so back sa pagiging resident.

According sa kanya MAHIRAP TALAGA, as in the diseases that you only read in the book but you haven't seen from Clerk to Internship to Residency e makikita mo ng actual.

With regards to technology, residents in the US, receive for free upon admission PDA's pager sometimes mobile phones, and COW's are everywhere in the hospital (computer on wheels = laptop).

Not downgrading or minamaliit ko MD's sa Pinas pero try to match their abilities and skills with MD's in Johns Hopkins, marami pang bigas na kakainin mga kababayan natin pero I'm sure once na makarating sila dito at they get over with sa "culture / technological shock" they will be at PAR with the others.

Kapag doctor ka, madali talaga pumasok sa ibang line of work with relative ease.

If you want to go into the PNP, 4 months training lang. Sakin may nag-offer pa ng straight PNP without training. hehehe. Ala-CSI ka na pagkatapos.

Don't think that is a fair comparison.

It's like comparing an "average" American student with an exceptionally brilliant UP graduate/student and concluding that Americans are not good.

naalala ko yung ad about a current events symposium:

"mga pinoy small-minded? bakit? doctor naman ako ah...gusto ko nga lang mag-nurse."

I think it is just fair o compare the best WITH the best.

"mas matalino talaga duktor na pinoy kasi exposed sila sa mga gadgets like PDA, smartphones, laptops. sa America ata recorder pa din pinaka-gadget nila."

Usually when we say matalino mga Pinoy docs we are referring to Pinoys trained in UST, UP PGH etc. These are the premier medical training institutions in the Phil, so its just fair to compare them to Johns Hopkins where the Americans train their best.

It is not fair to compare the best of Pinoys to the docs in the US who trained in Idaho or some far flung province then say mas matalino Pinoy docs natin.

Hindi mahirap intindihin ang bago nilang job description. Huwag pasaway.
